Shallow mount 10” subs installed

Just installed a pair of Pioneer TS-A2500LS4 shallow mount 10” subs in a Rockville RDSM10 prefab shallow box & a Hifonics ZRX1216.1DV2 1200 watt amp. I chose to fire them downward to still be able to utilize the trunk & to keep them protected. The box has a 2.5” gap above the floor and is pretty much even with the stock subs. The amp I went with is the highest wattage unit that will still fit in the trunk corner cubby. The new subs pick up where the stock ones leave off. The stereo sounds killer now!

Did you install the box from the rear tilting it side to side or did you have to slide it in from the front?

I was able to slide the box in from the back through the open hatchback. It goes in long-wise, then you turn it once it is in. I'm telling you, it's like this box was made for this car, measurements-wise.
