My car is currently on jack stands so it was easy to check. I would be pissed too if I found they were still there.

The shaft is fine, its just boot grime when I was squeezing to see if I could feel something there before I pulled it up.

And the rears have been pulled off by the dealership too.

If I'm correct, there's none on the rears.

Now that's a nightmare.
Time to also check rears. Thankfully no boot cover to obstruct viewing.
Damm..

Need a bmw jack adapter as the bmw socket does not fit with my scissor jack. :(

Those seem like good ones. I ordered this version from Amazon and they also work good.

Strong warning to all owners to check urgently your front end.
Damn! Well that sucks Bro. Did you notice a firm ride regardless of iDrive settings?

You were basically riding on bump stops for dampening.

I noticed front end was very high and after going through pothole a few weeks ago this jarring sound from front end. The steering was also numb and putting power down was squirrely.

Thankfully I have not done much chicane driving just highway but I have done 2k miles.

Will raise this with Toyota HQ but it sux definitely does and have service with this dealership next month. Not sure if to change now.

Ok, done the other side now and went for drive.

Conclusion:
1. Much more compliant on front end (so much softer less stiff and rigid up front;it was at times bone jarring over potholes)
2. Front brakes work much much better
3. Steering more feel but still early, will need more time to judge. Definitely better with corners
4. Acceleration is more compliant. You press and it goes (ie it hooks up)
5. My hands/fingers are all cut up from removing them spacers.... :(

Overall very happy and the way the car should have been delivered. Checked rears no spacers....pheew..

Time for beer...
