Normal street tires would also look like that after taking a beating on the track, getting heated up and picking up all sorts of crap from the road afterwards.look at how sticky those tires are
New Toyota Supra To Get Race Debut This Weekend In VLN9
Evaluation of platform for motorsport use, GT4 version possible
The new for 2019 Toyota Supra will see its first ever race action this weekend at the Nürburgring with a car entered in the SP8T class entered for the VLN season finale.
With a pair of Toyota test and development drivers slated to drive the car, DSC understands that the outing is to assess the motorsport potential for the front-engined, I6-powered car. Whilst the new car, which shares its platform with the new BMW Z4, has been the subject of rumours and speculation around potential GTE and/ or GT3 versions, DSC believes that a more modest GT4-level specification is a more likely eventual outcome.
Ah. SP8T... okay.
Kind of an odd claim at the end there given Tada already said the GR Supra Concept was aiming at GTE lol.
Do you think a GT4 road going version, kind of like the Cayman GT4, could be down the pipeline?Kind of an odd claim at the end there given Tada already said the GR Supra Concept was aiming at GTE lol.
It's more likely that they're just testing or may do both.
Hmmm I see... well if it means anything, if you see Tada, tell him if this is true I'll be walking into the Toyota dealership like:it's definitely possible, especially with someone like Tada at the helm, but I feel it is unlikely. on the contrary, one of my contacts did refer to that car as the track spec car, so I guess we could extrapolate that it may be available at some point...
