100% its 400+ hp, brakes look like drilled G87 rotots but with different caliper.
I'd vote for beefed up B58 instead of S58, the GT4 runs at 430hp for example.
Wonder how limited it will be... I'm afraid it may sth like 500-1500units worldwide... =made from unobtanium for most.

I agree with this. BMW are stingy with their engines, and remember this partnership was not gonna go through. Until BMW asked to Toyota to look at their hydrogen cell technology. Though yes it was and still is a successful partnership. At this point why would you ever buy an M2, M3, or M4, when you have a discounted one from Toyota. In my opinion I would take a supra over a z4, 240i, 340i, or 440i. Now I maybe wrong, and I hope I'm wrong I really want to see an S58 supra. However, we are grasping at straws now.

Damn I want that wing so bad.
I want that car ? Met up with an old friend this weekend that tests for multiple companies, teaches rich upcoming drivers, in between racing. He‘s actually driven them and said Toyota is definitely going all in. I didn’t even know… but diggin it. Like Mazda & Porsche. I’m stoked!

I should have taken a picture of all the “free” NASA GR track day guys there at Sebring this weekend. They were sandwiched between me and another Supra pal. Three GR Corollas, 3 new Supras, and lots of GR86s ?

At the same time, you don't put more aero and bigger brakes on a car unless it has improved power.
You put more aero, bigger brakes and tires with suspension to improve lap times. It’s the first thing you do to a track car. Doesn’t mean there is an increase in power. That being said it most likely will have increased power simply because it’s a new and improved car. But these things alone are not an indication of power increase.

I happen to agree with @Dannyvandelft. At least I don’t think that’s what he meant. If on a highly technical track, perhaps. If I had more power to push through that extra downforce, yes then I’d consider it. But other suspension mods - YUS. I also think our brakes are just fine for our power. My pads were toast this past weekend and I actually went a few tenths faster. Had to preserve them and trail brake more.

Now a DRS F1 style wing would be bad ass ? - Open that sucker up on the straights! When are you making one of those (as if I could afford it - hahaha)? Love your vents btw…. Fantastic quality!

Geez…tough crowd. The nay-sayers here are the same cats who said the GRMN wasn’t going to happen. Like I’ve said earlier in this thread, just take my money. I’ve got a paid off low mileage Supra waiting for the switcharoo!
This isn’t officially the GRMN that’s probably a big chunk of why

That article is horrible. It states multiple times that the current supra is twin turbo and all kinds of inaccuracies ?
lol it’s carscoops haha they aren’t known for being accurate lol ?

Fair enough. For my skills even the factory power was more than enough for the track but I could have definitely used some better tires and suspension. Now I added a top mount turbo kit so now it's a drag / roll race street car.

Happy to hear you like the vents! We are working on door vents now!

Covered by Pistonheads also.

My view point is,
1. I'm glad I didnt wait for it when it was "imminent" in March 2022 and instead got mine
2. Its tempting. Especially if with a s58 in UK. As we have limitations with what we can legally do to the car, for example opf+cat related stuff.
Having more power but keeping those would be quite good.
3. I like the wheels. I like the sound of a lot of these other changes too, I think if it came with updated Idrive (with android auto) as well as the s58 and those brakes..... i might well see if i can trade up.
4. Im not sure i like that wing........

On the flip side my other option is a back box mod and stage 1. Which i suspect would be enough for me.

Honestly a drive in it again the other day confirmed to me that (especially now i have SportContact 7s) this car is way faster than the hp numbers show as it is. So i suspect a nice 80hp bump from a tune might be enough. But id always struggle knowing the grmn exists lol....
But then you also have to think. Given i already have 90% of it on my drive is it really worth bankrupting myself over :p
