After many talks over chat and finally calls, I've an appointment at Safelite location with confirmed request for OEM replacement part.
$50 deductible $90.67 OEM price difference thru Geico..
I'm told to expect part on October 4th..

Safelite did my windshield, they weren't able to calibrate. Took my car right to Toyota and they said it wasn't necessary. Been a couple thousand miles with no issues

Just trying to figure out if safelite would've been a 1 stop shop...

Safelite was a one stop shop for me. No issues doing the calibration. I told the guy I didnt want him to drive my car and he was good with me taking it out for the calibration. Takes about 2 miles of driving.

this just happened a couple of hours ago. i saw the pebble/rock flying into my windshield in slow motion, LOL. there were no giant trucks around me, just normal sized vehicles. my appointment is on oct 2, i go into paint for my hood and fenders on oct 4, Geico said they might not have the windshield in stock, but best to get the appointment in the books so safelite can order a windshield. the first pic is where the pebble/rock hit. while i was driving it stretched across the windshield.

*Update*
Safelite did a great job on the OEM Pilkington glass. Finished the whole thing in ~2 hours with calibration. I was not expecting the glass to be there to be honest will all the shortages and shipping delays, but there it was :)

HUD and all safety stuff works perfectly.
Paid $140.67 in total. $50 deductible + $90.67 OEM upgrade (Geico). Even got a Certificate of Calibration lol.
