Ditto. I’d pay up to $10k more than M2 price for a manual Toyota version M2 with Toyota reliability and a sexy shell. (Depending on final specs and design of course)

I think even seeing this 'race' version will be awesome and certainly better than nothing.
Think of it this way, i'm sure everyone can work out what it is going to look like minus maybe a wide body kit etc. Its not that hard.
Also, this gives another good idea of what it will look like modified! Which IMO is most important

No one is "acting" surprised, I think everyone was 'hoping' we would see a production version as well. Now we have to hope again, that it will show at the New York Auto Show.

Again, I thought it was common knowledge that race car would be shown at Geneva and production version would be shown at New York.

Nobody wants a BMW wrapped up in Toyota shell. At least nobody on this forum.

...or at least nobody that has owned a Supra before wants a BMW. I hope to God they don't screw this up but I can't help but feel a little pessimistic with all their previous let downs regarding this concept.

Motortrend has a pretty good track record, so I'll believe them. Also like I said in the other thread, there are no major US autoshows after NY, expect for LA, which is even more unlikely IMO.
