Weak numbers compared to last year. Wonder what percent is due to
• shortages
• MT expectation
• weather

I mean, people have been waiting for the Manual Supra, so there'd better be double the sales
Haha all those Facebook shit talkers and YouTubers who said “I’d buy it if it was only a stick” better come out of the wood work. That alone should allow Toyota to produce an entirely new car from the chassis up.

So are we thinking is the sharp drop this year is a supply thing, or demand? Is there a bunch of unsold cars sitting at dealers?

It's a supply issue. There aren't many cars to go around still.
There are some cars at dealers, supply is soft, but so is demand. It seems that -most- people that want (in its currently available options) and can afford a Supra have one at this point.

The value of my, uh, unmodified stock Supra, according to Carvana has increased the last few weeks. Beginning of April they offered me $48.7k with 17k miles on it. End of April they are willing to pay $52k with 18.6k miles on it.

Not sure how their algorithm works but I look on Carvana every so often to see how many come and go and they seem to sell pretty fast on there.

Ive seen a total of 4 Supras in Las Vegas that doesn’t include one of my friends or at a meet up. Not counting the week Supra’s in Vegas was In town either, because I saw them all over then. But in the wild just every day driving just 4.

we have been putting a lot of time on the touring bike lately on the weekends and me and my fiancé has counted 23 C8’s, in the last month. We saw 9 in one day. Possible some sightings are of the same car, and more then I expected had paper tags still. Our last trip this past weekend we saw 3 of the New Nissan Z out towards Valley of Fire, couldn’t miss that face only a mother could love, but the rest of the car looks great In person.

Also, I think sales will shoot up when the manual gets release, baring any supply issues, but then fall flat. I don’t see the manual out selling the auto for this car, very few cars the manual out sales the auto counter part. I think at this price point the auto will sell more. I get this based off the polling, survey and focus groups my company is a part of for development in the automotive industry. People that are a part of that side of the business are not shocked at seeing where the auto industry is going.. right now people want electric SUV’s and CUV’s and crossovers. And when I say people i dont mean enthusiasts, I mean the everyday consumer.

its closer to “get them while you can” then ever before

Everything is up right now still. You can see how things were starting to recover until the war in Ukraine started then jumped right back up to the all time high pretty much.

This website is pretty interesting since you can drill down into specific models and years to track prices on their website: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/price-trends/
