what's the figure of Japan?
If this hits nearly 5k units for 2022 then it's a huge success for Toyota given how much of a disaster 2022 was for them.https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/toyota-supra-sales-figures/

hmm why is Toyota suffering, but Ford sales rose 27% August from a year ago....If this hits nearly 5k units for 2022 then it's a huge success for Toyota given how much of a disaster 2022 was for them.
I'm sure there are a vast array of reasons possible... but the most obvious would be a difference in production shutdowns, shortages, etc. Although every brand is effectively a global brand at this point, the specific supply chains are different and some were more affected than others in 2021. Toyota had stockpiled a ton of chips pre-COVID so they weren't as affected in 2020... but then ran out during 2021 apparently. So probably best to compare 2020 Ford to 2021 Toyota in that regard.hmm why is Toyota suffering, but Ford sales rose 27% August from a year ago....
