Sorry, my post wasn't clear. I'm not comparing the chassis and handling characteristics, I agree they're very different animals in that respect. Just saying Subaru has already done R&D for an engine effectively the same Dimension-wise. It shouldn't be too hard for them to do a bit more testing with a DIT engine in an 86. I was comparing the engines is all. Again, sorry if it wasn't clear.

The problem is that while the 86 is an amazing car, it is still lacking power. The handeling is superior to cars in the $35-45k+ out of the box. The interior on the higher trim is also pretty nice for how cheap it is. I have a BRZ limited and I have alacantara seating, seat warmers, Bluetooth, etc.. the car is well equipped for the price. Hell, I even turn around after 20ft and look back at it because it looks stunning too.

With all that being said, would I have paid $30-35k for a factory turbo with say 270hp like the WRX? In a heart beat. I already love the car and everything it has to offer, but I want a bit more power and going aftermarket for that will be my solution if the Supra isn’t going to give me what I want. Personally, I want a manual car because it’s FUN. I could care less about saving .02 seconds on my shifts or expressing my e-penis on a forum because on paper my car is better. A manual transmission is fun to drive and that’s what Toyota wants to make. Fun to drive cars.

Looks like that is the final wheel design also.
I'm certainly not saying you're wrong, but I cannot understand how some of you on here come to these conclusions. What are you basing this off of?

Someone not long ago said that they think the LED strip below the headlight will change colors..... again, I can't say you're wrong.... but what?

The UX got unveiled a little early. Hoping that means we'll also get an early look at the new Supra. :D

Hmm What AM I driving?
I like the UX I just don't like those rear door the handles being two different height throws me off.... would have liked it if they did it like the CHR and put the handles up top.

I didn't say the absolutely were, I said "looks like". May basis of speculation; finish of the wheel, center cap is on. I may be wrong, but this is a forum and the car is not out. So i guessed. Like so many hundreds of others have. It's no big deal.

That's fine. Mostly just curious why you were saying that. People have posted some ridiculous theories on here, so a little explanation is helpful.

Agree, the 86 can be both an amazing car and lacking in power.

The twins came out around the time I was selling my S2000 because a kid was on the way, the twins seemed like the perfect replacement... until I saw ‘only’ 200 hp. I am not a hp junkie, but that just seemed too low. If that car had the WRX engine, I probably would have purchased one new.

Is that supposed to be their replacement for the LX or sit between the LX and RX?

Think smaller, its says subcompact SUV.

The LX is roughly Land Cruiser size.

The GX is roughly sequoia size.

The RX is roughly highlander size.

The NX is roughly RAV4 size.

This UX will be smaller like the new Toyota C-HR if I'm not mistaken.

Toyota currently sells 6 different body styles of SUVs, the five above and the 4Runner.

Lexus will have 5 different body styles of SUVs with the UX.
