It looks like the offset is blank. Any idea what those values should be?
Unfortunately, that 39A message doesn't appear to be on our PT-CAN.

The DME, EGS (Transmission), and GWS (Gear Selector) Module are on PT-CAN2, but you'd have to move your CAN bus tap. The only accessible location that I'm aware of is at the DME: Connector 1B, Pin 35 (hi), Pin 36 (lo). That appears to be a dedicated peer CAN network, so the messaging might be limited to the DME/EGS/GWS interactions.

That's what prompted me to develop the Service 0x22 Script. Transmission Fluid Temperature is available as a Service 0x22 PID.

Unfortunately the only item in that list available from Service 0x01 OBD-II is TPS.

All three are available via PT-CAN or Service 0x22 OBD-II. Although the Brake value is in Pressure (Front and Rear).

Personally, I don't monitor TPS because it isn't a true driver input. It's controlled by the DME. For True Driver Input, you should monitor APP (Accelerator Pedal Position).
For APP would that be PID 49 or 4A from the OBD-II list?

Would this work on a small tablet attached to my Triple7 quick release steering wheel?

It would have to be streamed and not wired and be running on the battery

All the possibilities….

Yes it can work over wifi or bluetooth. You can even have multiple displays at the same time.

New info: On the 2024 model there are no yellow-black / yellow-white twisted cable pairs. ?.

I guess I’m gonna have to tap every single cable pair in this bundle. ?

the thought process being to tap something that's reversible, if you introduce corrosion or a wire break with the tap.

But they are tapping directly into the OEM harness in that how-to video. Am I missing something?

I like to strip and solder wires in the cars, but for an inside the cabin wire, the tap is probably safe.

This is not like vampire clamping a wire under the fender for a third stop. In that case I strip, solder, cover with liquid electrical tape and then shrink tube.
Probably an overkill, but I live in Miami, where everything is about to transform into vapor.

the pnp harness inserts into the automatic transmission connector. provides canbus connection without positapping the factory harness.

ah, I did miss that. Then yea, if you want to spend $50 on it, go for it. I've been using posi-taps with no issues.
