Thanks for the writeup. I have a kit I started working on for my BRZ before I had to sell it during the pandemic and was hoping to reuse it. I opted for skipping the Zeitronix and instead programed an Arduino UNO I had laying around to convert the E% and Fuel temp signals to 0-5V for the CANBUS thanks to an old Subaru forum. I did add extra outputs for external gauges. Just have to get an Arduino Mini and small PCB for the other electronics to shrink everything.

Great write up, would you happen to recall the size of the 360 fittings? 5/16” or 3/8”? Thanks!

Hey Thanks for this write up , used it to get all the parts together for my flex fuel install.
After your install did you car throw any codes?
Mine threw a whole bunch so I brought it back to the shop I went to double check the wiring. Any insight would be great! Thank you.

If you're throwing codes, your CAN bus tap is incomplete or reversed.

Thank you, the shop checked the wiring against the guide here and instructions in the Zeitronix Box and it is all set up correctly. Are there any commonly missed install points you can give insight on that are Supra specific? Thanks,

Just for the sake of total clarity:

Where did you wire up the CAN connection? At the ECU or in the passenger footwell?

CAN connection was wired up in the passenger footwell. Also tried reversing connections and car threw even more codes.

Are the codes just from the install? They didn't disconnect the battery? If you clear the codes do they come back?

Yes codes are from the install. If he disconnects the ECA-2 they go away. Also, reached out to Zeitronix to see if they have any insight.

Where are they getting power and ground? Have a photo of the CAN connection?

Power is coming from Fuse F47 and ground is tagged to factory ground point under dash on driver side. Can High and Low are T-Tapped exactly as they are in your pic in the passenger footwell area. He double checked both the power and the ground and verified the T-Taps are working. The ethanol gauge is reading temp and Ethanol content so there should be no issues there,

The shop used an Autel and said that once he clears the codes the second the Ethanol content changes by any number (E10-E11) on the gauge the codes come right back. The shop is thinking it is some kind of configuration issue with the ECA-2 or something like that. What do you think?

Hey so just to update the shop went ahead and checked the entire install again and found a pin in one of the connectors that was loose. It was sometimes making contact and then sometimes cutting out and in turn was causing the car to throw all those codes. We were able to seat the pin and clear the codes and they have not returned. Thank you everyone for the replies ! And hope this helps someone in the future !

Does anyone have information regarding the type of mating connector being used for PT-CAN 2 found on the TCU connector in the engine bay? Also, the pinout diagram for the TCU connector.

Using the TCU connector makes this a cleaner install, don't have the vehicle with me atm to check the part numbers on the connector.

And also the address to send ethanol data over PT-CAN 2 for MHD+?
