Ya, no thanks. I will continue to stay away haha
It's BARELY entertainment. And that's only because I restricted my use to a few car groups, friends and family. I even have a plug-in that blocks all the political b*******.

To be honest, I would probably have to have my GF show me how to even find a group, let alone join one. All I know how to do is make a post haha.

Certain groups is the only thing that makes it fun. I've got one for the general, watches, and a few car groups, of course.

I did some research and found out that our transmission pan is interchangeable with most (if not all) ZF8 pans.

That means we can use the metal G8X M pans. Since ours is plastic, this can be a great OEM upgrade. It also makes it so you don't have to replace the pan everytime you change the trans fluid as the metal pans have the filter as a separate item.

The G8X M3/M4 uses a metal pan with nice cooling fins, however, the X5M/X3M/M5 transmission pans have even BIGGER cooling fans. The Supra GT4 uses the M3/M4 pan.

I ordered the X5M/X3M/M5 pan, it came in today. I will let you all know how it goes. Since the fins are so deep, I might have to cut the plastic undertray but I am fine with that as it will get more air to the pan anyway. I'm pretty sure the M3/M4 pan will clear the undertray just fine.

Yes, there are aftermarket pans that the drag guys use. This is an OEM part and I do think for track use, the bigger fins (even bigger than the aftermarket pans) should do very well for cooling.

I just ordered and received the same parts.
Have you installed yet ?
Is that the right filter ? I seems too small. The filter pickup fits in the pan, and the uptake seems to line up with the transmission, but that is alllnthat is keeping that filter in place.
Have you had any transmission issues ? Like slippage or overheating?

I just want to make sure the filter in your picture is the one you installed, and it is working the way it is supposed to.

I installed the M3 pan as well. You can see the before pictures in my post from September 4, 2023. First pic below is the side view of how low the stock plastic pan hangs. Second pic shows the M3 pan is noticeably lower. It just touches the cardboard flat floor.

I ended up using the aluminum PPE pan which hangs even lower and does require the permanent removal of the covering undercladding. I wanted the extra 1.5 qts of fluid it holds, the extendo fins, and the NPT port so I could run a temp probe. No issues on my end.
