Trip odometer reset button/diag mode button not working

Hey guys-

my buddy and I tried to reset the oil change notification, ( we are aware how to access the diagnostics screen to reset it and all ) but that button under the gauges isn’t even responding. Can’t even reset trip miles, has anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance!

That's because you don't reset the trip odometer there. Left steering wheel stalk, upper button.

No, I understand that. I am just talking about that little button on the bottom left side of the gauges, I’m trying to access the diagnostics screen but it’s not popping up. Almost like it is broken or some shit

When the electronics+engine are on and running, and you hold the gauge cluster button for 10+ seconds, what happens?

No, I understand that. I am just talking about that little button on the bottom left side of the gauges, I’m trying to access the diagnostics screen but it’s not popping up. Almost like it is broken or some shit

Also, according to my manual, you can reset the trip computer using Toyota Supra Command:
My vehicle
Driving information
Trip computer
Move the controller to the left if needed.
Reset
If necessary, "OK"

With my 2024, that button cycles through various displays, like fuel consumption, average speed, etc. If you press and hold that button, you will reset average values.

I don't. But in that video by the car care nut guy, where he interviews the Toyota Auto engineer, that engineer stated that he visits Toyota manufacturing sites to verify their adherence to Toyota quality standards. At least that's what I recall.

Yep. I followed that exact video brotha, that button ain’t working. I held it for a loooong time.
