Yeah I had heard good things too, but that’s the shop that told me they needed the car a few days to get it 100% dialed in. I don’t want my car to be the guinea pig for a shop to play around and get to know a new car. A few days to tune a car with just a dp and intake???

I’ll take the 2 hour drive to TPG or get an etune from Marin
Coming from the Evo world previously i can tell you that lots of horror stories with evo's among other cars originate from that place (TPG). Also a couple days to do a tune isn't bad, tunes take time... its not like you press 3 buttons and boom you have more safe/reliable power... do you want it to be rushed and not run at its full potential/poorly?

im sorry, i said it once and i'll say it again. It does NOT take a few days to tune a car that is still fairly factory. If they are telling you a few days, i would move on. Just experienced advice to help save you the headache. if it was some one off or some crazy build that's different. its just mind boggling to me all the issues people have had with these cars.

I appreciate everyone’s feedback. I understand some people like to work in spurts over a few days until a job is done.

That’s the first bad thing I’ve heard about TPG. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll look into it. I like the idea of getting a dyno tune, but seems like everyone is liking their e-tunes from our sponsors here so may go that route

Just got my car back from https://www.rltuning.com/, and this thing rips on the ethanol map. I'm running 305-45r17 MT ET Street SS and it's still a handful until the tires get some heat in them.

Attached is a youtube video of the final pull, included at the end of the video is the dyno sheet comparing stock baseline numbers to the final product on e45.

Right on... TPG tuning is in Pittsburgh (2 hours away), and they have an A90 supra. I forgot about these guys because haven't heard from them since last fall, but they had the first 10 second supra.
I live very close to TPG and talked to them several times. They may have had 1st Supra in the 10s but have since moved on basically. Besides that, when talking to them, the answers they gave me greatly differentiated from Tuners on this forum to make me not go there. If you own a GT-R, it's a different story. As for Supra, I would keep moving! Just my 2 cents

AVOID TPG like pump 87 gas from an independent gas station! Just had the worst automotive service provider experience with them, regarding tuning of my MKIV. Their communication is terrible, took 4x longer and $1K more than their estimate. I’m still looking for a good tuner in NE Ohio.

I highly suggest Redline Tuning in Columbia Station, they’ve done quite a few Supra’s (mine included) and it rips! It’s actually about to get retuned by them because I’m going pure800 and port injection.

Thanks so much for the direction; I’ll check them out!
