I need some rears on my 19" OEM wheels as the outer tread is down to the wear indicators (after 16k).

Usually I'd go for the PS4S but seen a couple of recommendations that the Continental Sport Contact 7 are very good. They are also £100 cheaper that the PS4S too.

Has anyone go the Continentals or have any recommendations for anything else?

I’d go with a 200 tread wear for your size to start. I’ll be doing the same thing when my stock tires wear out. I have another set for track that is a 100 tread wear. But that’s really aggressive. So depending on how sticky you want them and what you want to do.

The continental's are too new for anyone to really have tried them other than reviewers, but it makes sense that they're better than the ps4s, as they're 240 treadwear tires. I'd say the new ExtremeContact Sport 02's are more comparable to PS4S because they're both about the 300 Treadwear mark.

Can you even get the SportContact 7 in our size right now? When I look online they only have them in 21 & 22 inch diameter

I swear by the continental extreme contact sports. I run 295 in the rear and 275 up front with 700whp
Thanks mate. I am going to give them a go.

Do you run 295's on the OEM 19" rims?

And if so does that make much difference or problems over the 275's?

For UHP summers, def go for Michelin PS4S (PS5S may be coming soon since PS5 recently came out) or Continental ECS 02.

For UHP all seasons, the Continental DWS 06 Plus and Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 are great.

For either category, Michelin tends to do slightly better in dry conditions and has a firmer ride, while Continental tends to do slightly better in wet/slippery conditions and has a softer ride.

We have the PS5 tyres here, but not the PS s5 (rebranded instead of PS5s following on from the PS4s, they are PS s5 apparently?!)

The PS5's are inferior to the PS4s from what i read.

Anyway, have gone for the Continental Sports 7 as i need them now. (£231 each)

Otherwise I'd have been weighing up the extra likely cost of PS s5 over the Continentals.

Thanks for all the advice fellas!

I've swapped from the PSS to Goodyear F1 Super Sport, and they're a huge step up.

Update, just got the Conti 7's fitted.

Haven't had a big play yet, but first impressions are the grip is good!

The bank end is much more stable! Admittingly that's comparing them to worn Mich PSS, but i am sure even when the car was new the PSS's were skittish from day one.

Nitto 555r2 in the rear and Nitto555 g2 in the front.
Just went from Cup2 to Conti Ext Sport 2. Although it's a great all around tire I'll be doing your setup next go around. It's the best performance 1st /daily combo...

My favourite choice would be R888R or Advan AD07, but I have a feeling both don't come in the size I need :/
