I don't understand the 'gasket' (weatherstrip) on the intake filter housing. What is it supposed to seal against, and is it only getting air from the top, or does it utilize the snorkel behind the bumper cover?

Well I certainly know and understand that, but it says Japan. I'd never sink to the point of using slurs, and also know that they wouldn't have issued it with 'JAP' or 'J4P' as a standalone word. It's just an illusion of a space between the P and 4 due to the gap in the font they use. Like I said, I'm already filling out the form to change it, because I'm not a fan of the way it turned out either. The moment it arrived I turned to my friend and was like "Hmmm, I don't know about this one. Definitely should've used letter A instead of 4s"

Right, that is why I stated that maybe I am too big of a snowflake, because the "JAP" part is what I see first.

I already spoke my peace about your previous plate, however, that also is probably feeding into my view of your new plate.

Interesting i didn’t know this. If Jap is a slur, does shortening William to calling someone Will also a slur? I might be missing something but sounds like just abbreviating the name so it’s half the word, not a different separate derogatory word?

It gets air from the snorkel behind the bumper as it is design with the hole in the housing. I agree with you on the top gasket. I thought it was there to seal the hood to the intake but its not even close enough for that. Thankfully I have the Verus turbo heat shield and hood vent so my intake temps isn't massively affected.

Since the engine is out, I replaced one of the harnesses I need to replace. Reflex harness was replaced, I need to replace line lock and fuel harnesses next.

Installed my SupraMod 'functional' hood vents and custom center caps. The quality of these parts is outstanding!

Also, finally got my new Road America plate and mounted it up. The black plate looks soooo much better than the white on CU Later Gray!
