What did you do to your Supra today?

This is the first I have heard of this. I had no idea some states charge property tax on cars. :-/

In Colorado it's tied together with the annual registration and is based on the age of the car and original purchase price. The first year mine was around $1k as well but it's been steadily dropping. I'm not sure what it'll be this year but probably around $700. We also have 5% state income tax which hurts. Buuuut our property tax on houses is crazy low, I only pay like 0.5%/yr, so it mostly works out.

i'm still pretty new to this platform, right. most people on here have been tuned for ages, but i got tuned maybe three weeks ago, so i can provide you with some fresh feedback (tuned with Ecutek though).
friggin yes. it's a completely different car, it retains its every day drivability, maniacal smiles to the gallon, etc.

don't be afraid to ship it out-- do it with a reputable company, not the cheapest option

I can confirm E40 is a night and day difference I’m actually a little scared now hitting the throttle lol

Got my last SPL parts on last night. Hopefully it stops raining now so I can attempt to get an alignment. Not sure if the car is going to make it up on the alignment rack with the splitter and diffuser. I will bring my race ramps but its still going to be close...
I personally don't understand why all shops don't have ground level alignment racks. The influx of lower ground clearance vehicles today should be a clue for shops to update their equipment. Just saying.

When I was flushing the brake fluid a couple days ago, I sucked the reservoir dry on accident. Figured it was no big deal since I was flushing the fluid anyways. Nope, couldn't get the bubble out.

You guys really need to invest in one of these things. This is my go to for bleeding everything, including cooling systems. Sucks the bubbles right out everytime. Within 10 seconds, I had a solid brake pedal again.

Regular use. I had it done on my 3rd year of ownership I think that's the recommended time frame. I dont have my manual with me to check.

Got an email from CarMax notifying me that it's officially been one year since I've signed on the dotted line. Vehicle started with 2300~ miles and currently sitting at 19,500 so that's a pretty good start. Surprisingly more livable than I expected, and around 23mpg lifetime average since ownership.

Most of the basic mods are either finished,

• Downpipe + Intake + Exhaust
• MHD OTS
• Powdercoated the two-tones
• Bimmercode
• Steering Wheel

Or currently in progress / very near future

• JQwerkz paddles
• Verus AOS
• Stud conversion kit

Hopefully if funds allow, I'd like to aim for flex fueling and a set of 18" squared wheels on an aggressive tire for a summer set.

Heard that the AOS doesn't do much. Could be wrong though depending on modifications & driving conditions.

I broke the return vent when installing the MST. Mainly trying to get rid of smell of oil as well as the blowby. There was a surprising amount of oil in the intake when I was installing the MST...

Brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs water from the air. When brake fluid gets contaminated with water, its boiling point drops significantly. The recommendation is to flush the fluid every few years. More often than that if you track and need to keep the boiling point as high as possible.

Personally I just bled them last weekend because I completely replaced the fluid a few months ago and there was still some OEM fluid trapped in the ABS module at the time. After triggering ABS a few times between then and now, I had to flush it one more time to get the rest of the OEM fluid out.

Connecticut is awful like that, but I've got family here and a good job so for now I stay. I certainly won't be retiring here.

Guess that‘s why we’re getting so many peeps moving down here. Wow…. I’ve heard CA has the highest taxes and y’all in the New England area are way up there as well. TN is moving up higher on my 2nd home list for the lower tax reason. We wanna be a snow birds ? someday, like so many other peeps down here in FL.
