The dealer has a spare key! Tell me more. I've never heard of that before or is it just for your car?Im keeping this car forever. I’m lucky, I was able to pay off the loan.
If you have a loan, put whatever extra you can afford on the principal. Banks are making a killing off of us. They don’t deserve that money.
Once I get the title I’m going to the dealer and ask if I can have THE spare key (I lost mine). I KNOW they have a spare key, maybe I will get lucky.

Hahaha. Don’t they keep a key in case people default the loan? LOL.The dealer has a spare key! Tell me more. I've never heard of that before or is it just for your car?

Yeah, but in the US they have to PAY for air and water at service stations. Wild. Not here they don't and when you think about it why would they want to keep keep thousands of keys safe for 5 years or so in the event someone defaults on a loan. They wouldn't want that problem and that would be a finance company issue not the dealer. You can ask but I can't see it happening.
Phil
No they don’t. Making crap up lol.Hahaha. Don’t they keep a key in case people default the loan? LOL.
I have no idea. What’s the worse can happen if I go and ask.
Actually, having driven from California to New York, I can confirm this is actually a thing! No they don’t. Making crap up lol.
Lol. It's actually true. Most gas stations charge for it. However, some will offer it free, if you go in and ask. Lived in California for over 20 yrs, can confirm. Live in Texas now, and most stations are actually free out here. So, it does vary, as well.Actually, having driven from California to New York, I can confirm this is actually a thing!
