I have a ‘23 A91-MT and need to replace the battery. In your opinion, what is the best option other than going to the dealership?

If the Supra is like any other BMW, it's an AGM battery... Which are made by 2 or 3 suppliers worldwide. The F30 batteries in the BMWs sometimes had a "made for BMW by Exide" sticker. And the Exides from a local auto shop was something like $100 less.

But given your car is a 2023, why do you need a new battery? If it's discharged you can charge it with something like a CTEK charger for less then half the cost of a new battery.

AGM batteries can’t be recharged. Once they’re dead, they’re dead. No bringing it back. Used my CTEK to confirm my battery was toast by seeing it got no response back from the battery when plugged in.

I believe the article claims that you cannot jump-start an AGM from another vehicle, but I do not think this is correct.

Yes, you can jump-start your car’s AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery using jumper cables connected to another vehicle’s battery. However, it’s important to take special care when doing so. Here are the steps you should follow:

If you're still under 36000 miles on the car that battery has a 3/36k warranty on it and can be replaced for free under warranty. While you may not want to bring your car in to a toyota dealer this repair can't get much more simple than it is. Just make sure you have the trunk area cleared out for them if you're going to do that, otherwise, I'd probably replace with a lithium battery like stated above.

I used to work at a domestic dealer and I know some of the batteries were AGM and they can definitely be charged. I also had my car sitting on a tender over winter while it was parked with 0 issue.

I have a battery tender hardwired in. I’m just going to take it to Toyota, it seems like a parasitic drain.
