For those of you daily driving your Supra auto shifting in normal mode, does the transmission rifle through the gears under part throttle? I just picked mine up yesterday and it's the first car or truck I've driven with an auto transmission with more than 6 gears (none of them being sports cars). It caught me off guard on the test drive that it was already to 7th gear by 34mph.
In normal mode yes

Comfort all settings minus engine set in sport+. Full Auto unless Iā€™m in the city, then itā€™s manual. If itā€™s really busy, i set everything to sport+.

Mostly drive in sport mode with safety features on. If Iā€™m going for a longer drive Iā€™ll put it in normal. And when I wanna have fun Iā€™ll turn off safety features and switch to manual.

Yup, in normal mode, it'll upshift quickly for fuel economy. It'll downshift to be in a better part of the torque band for acceleration if you give it generous throttle though.

Iā€™m in sport + manual 100% of the time. Mainly for control over the level of exhaust noise.

I donā€™t dare take off traction control after a single close call the only time I took it off

Gassed it and didnā€™t let off. Sideways before I knew it on the drag strip. Just about pissed my pants
Didn't you read the reviews, man?! These things have a lively backend!

At least it would be a cool video to watch on YouTube of you binning it.

Do you spend much time on a twisty track with your car?
I track a c8 when Iā€™m at an official track. However I did do a couple of rally back road races in the Supra. Pretty nimble, overall impressed

Oh come on, you drive a mid-engine V8 on the track and you're telling me a little 3.0L 6 caught you out?
