I'm currently using Castrol edge euro formula 5W30 and it's been great
Used the same oil in a 5w40 weight on the previous S55 F80 and the UOA came back squeaky clean
Haven't had any experience with mobil 1
If you want an alt the penzoil platinum european is also a very good street oil in the 5W30W
Thanks. Doing my first oil change on my Supra 6MT at 1,000 miles this week and have been debating if I should go out of my way for Amsoil or get some Castrol Edge Euro and call it a day. Also have been reading a lot on this forum about 0w-20 or if I should go up to 5w-30 so soon or wait until I tune in the near future. So many options.

Penzoil ultra platinum 5w-30.

project farm did a competition between some of the big name oils and penzoil came in second place behind amsoil.

has some fantastic protection for a good price. So I’m sticking with it lol

Whatever you use it should be an SN+ or preferably an SP oil. These oils are specifically formulated to mitigate LSPI issues in DI engines.
