I get bored easy...I've owned a little over 30 new cars in my lifetime so far...

If it's any consolation, I held on to my Supra for about 3 years which is a fairly long time for me...I thoroughly enjoyed it...

All the youngins bought them and get tired of things quickly. It’s really nothing wrong with the car they just like to change things up every few months.
Bought mine new in 21 and have no plans to sell.
I'm similar to you. I owned a '93 RX7 in the early 2000's for seven years. When the rotary got too expensive to maintain, I sold it and got a brand new '12 Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec which I owned for 12 years. I plan to own my Supra for as long as humanly possible.

Maybe I'm weird, but I form a bond with my cars over the years. I've never understood the mindset of a new car every couple of years (not that there's anything wrong with it...just different strokes for different folks I guess)

Zero plans of selling my baby anytime soon.

If I really like the car then I keep it. I have had my 2002 M roadster for 15 plus years now. I love the Supra and I will be keeping it till I can`t drive it anymore. In fairness I`m no spring chicken anymore either but I have a lot of years left I hope. I plan on adding a Porsche Cayman to the collection in the spring because I also like them.

This is 100% me. I’m adding to the collection not replacing. The only reason cars leave my garage are by way of Copart. Looking to add a new GR Celica or MR2 manual in the future.

Coming from someone who blows through cars like none other (60+ cars in 22 years), I have no want in selling the Supra. No idea what I would replace it with. So guess I am keeping it until something else worthy comes out.
Geez, and I thought I was bad (as many cars in twice as many years, not counting motorcycles).

We should start a support group.

As for the original question, perhaps it would be better asked on the FB group where all the ads are, rather than here?

I‘m with ya and a lot of the others on here. Picked “other” in the poll above ?

We usually go through cars way too fast, get bored or whatever. Loved our prior BMWs, Honda S2K and Mazda RX7 twin turbo. This Supra and MX5 ain’t going anywhere anytime soon?. What other options are there other than the Supra for track performance, reliability, available mods & consumables, at this price??? My wife’s VW GTi is our SUV. We might get a truck or SUV someday if the she gets tired of it…. Fingers crossed she doesn’t. That’s a solid ride as well.

I think the Vette is another a great performance bang for the buck. That too could be a really good track car if the prices keep coming down and the consumables become more affordable. Now if we had more cash than I knew what to do with, I’d probably be in a Porsche. They appear to be reliable on track, I see tons of them and they have lots of parts available. But at a much higher entry point and maintenance price ?

If/when Mazda comes out with a new MX5… I‘m going to try & ignore it ? That would be tempting.

Probably all the Reddit kids that ask if they make enough to afford it and are told “no” but get one anyway cuz they are living at home and parents co-signed and then realize they can’t afford anything else and are now stuck living with the folks - which probably wasn’t part of their plan.
I know plenty (and even friends with a few) successful younger guys that have great jobs and smart enough to buy Supras. They also track them. So they’re a unique bunch, no doubt.

Too many broken parts
Godbless ya brotha! Keep testing for us ??

I have no plan to sell, but if I was forced to sell, it would be due to major mechanical or electrical problems with the car (major as in $15K in repairs or something) or a fairly significant damage caused by an accident.

Beside me in love with my GR Supra still, there is no other car I want at the moment to replace. Thinking forward at the time, I am glad I got the 3.0L Premium with all the cool features available. I do not feel I missed out on an option which usually leads one wanting to replace the car. She's no Ferrari, but keeping it real, I'm no gorgeous rich hunk either so it all worked out perfectly... :dunno:

I have no plans to sell. All my previous cars were manuals, but I was younger and financially limited.

It seems the death of manuals/ICE is soon, so I figured this would me my last manual/ICE.

However if money and availability were no object, I’d consider a manual Vantage, GT3/GT4, or GTR R34.

May sell after the 10 year/100k warranty expires Mainly due to massive repairs I can’t do myself like electric and plastic/rubber parts deep inside engine. Otherwise there isn’t anything under 60k catching my attention.
Supra is paid off along with house so no need to sell car from financial reasons. supra is nowhere near the niche of Cayman GT lineup so value is expected to fall.

Supra doesn't have a 10y/100k warranty. It's 3yr/36k basic and 5yr/60k powertrain.

10 years is a long time to keep a car. So that’s not bad anyway, assuming you bought an extended warranty. But…. you’d be surprised how affordable it can be outside of a dealership. When you find someone you trust & does good work.

My addiction to feet pics. Already blew through my 401k cash out. Thinking about selling the whip for one more round of feet pics. Any will do really - Asian feet, Caucasian feet, feet with or without toe rings, manicured or not, bunions, no bunions, straight toes, overlapping toes, lotioned, dry, crusty, tattooed, even feet with ingrown toenails. Doesn't matter. Just no socks. And no dude's feet; I'm not some weirdo...

I only consider selling mine to just buy something in cash and not have a car payment anymore (I've had a payment for the last 8 years on something because I bounce around cars).

I decided to double down and pay it off by June of 2025 (2y 4m of payments) and I hope that feeling goes away.

I've got no real reason to get rid of this car. I've tried a Corvette and didn't quite like it and the Caymans are a bit more than I want to spend. Don't really see anything I'm interested in above the Supra and I've owned a good chunk of the stuff out there that's cheaper than it lmao.
