Why isn’t my steering wheel bolt a 16mm socket 😑

If you're paranoid and think the government is going to steal your guns, whiskey, and your first love from grade school, then DO NOT post your VIN online!
Wait, they're not?

5/22, there was also no Loctite on the bolt. It is T60 if anyone was wondering.
Hey Paul,

Thank you for providing the size of the bolt... I couldn't find that info anywhere.

2023 MT here and have the same T60 bolt.

Im unable to untighten the t60 center bolt with a hand ratchet. It just turns the steering wheel when I attempt it. Mine seems to have blue loctite. I'm hoping am impact wrench will do the trick?

It is very hard. It took me 2 breaker bars to unscrew it and i thought I was going to break something. having another person to hold the steering wheel helps.

If you're just trying to change your steering wheel there's absolutely zero reason to be fucking with the airbag that much

That's the process to install the custom airbag covers that NitroYellowMKV sells with his steering wheels. I figured it out though.

What was the solution? For those attempting to change the airbag cover?

I second the above post as I am receiving my airbag cover soon. Looking for the best method to swap the cover without breaking anything.
