I'm not trying to be difficult, but the statement above is self-contradictory. How can you state you "would not have the ability to drive it regardless" if you've "never attempted" to put it in drive, etc.If your car was experiencing the issue you would not have the ability to drive it regardless of how easy you are. I’ve never attempted to put mine in drive and drive off after I’ve seen this happen
This is key, key point. The very act of putting it into drive may allow it to drive off, even if it appears to develop no-power while in park.
Again, not trying to be difficult. Given that so many folks are reporting this, tyring to figure out the precise conditions that give rise to power loss is actually a bit tough, with the rather imprecise, incomplete, and sometimes contradictory descriptions posted here.
