Can anyone else who got PPF using Xpel please take a look at your car. I'm seeing a TON of seams, is this because they used the pre-cut kit? I'm in the process of getting a complete wrap done, but I don't know how to proceed now.

This may get by on a back car, but on a white car this looks horrible IMHO. I need to take a better pic of the mirror cap, but ther'es actually something UNDER the film now on the edge after a few hundred miles of driving. I can easily see all the other edges getting dirty as well in a short period of time.

The pic of the roof, I think only that small strip on the roof has been done yet. I picked up the car early as the shop was going to Kentucky to get C8 training. This is not how I envisioned spending $4500 to make my car look like shit.

@XPEL Any thoughts on this?

I also have absolute zero and dirt collection at the seams. How did you end up cleaning the dirt collection?

My mirror, line is pretty difficult to photograph...

My hood is wrapped, but that thing on the left isnā€™t, I donā€™t believe anyway, I think that is from the factory.

Here is the front of my hood to the bumper:

Hard to see, but this is at the top of my hood, they said the sheet wasnā€™t long enough but they were able to stretch it and align it with the crease. Unless you are looking for it, it is hard to see.

Template was not used for any of mine.
Looking at these pictures had me running to my car. Mine was hand cut too. I am glad my installer tucked those in.

Anyone else having issues with the PPF failing? I have 3 places on the car first by the passenger side hood corner window where it is peeling off and by both of the "fake" vents in the front bumper are bubbling and peeling
Anyone else have this issue and what is my recourse? Car only has 400 miles on it!
I hope you took it back to your installer.

Hi Guys, I was told that PPF needs to be changed/ refreshed every 2 years or risk it damaging the paint when you want to change it in the future due to damage or yellowing. True or sales tactic?
~ False.

I have installed over 300 kits over the years and removed film that had been on for 5-6 years old without any issues to the cars paint or finish.

Yes it will discolor (slight yellow hue) with ageā€¦ most notable on white cars.

Paint correction can be done to clear bra as well to aid with its clarity.

Very. The film pulls off fairly easy with a heat gun but the adhesive, thatā€™s the hard part. Iā€™d do a film change after five years. Two years is way too short. Sounds like a sales tactic.
Is this for xpel? I thought xpel does not yellow?

I would have to disagree. Flying debris is often unavoidable and, to me, I would prefer having seams than stone chips. Dirt collection along a seam is caused by incomplete sealing; this is an issue caused by the installer craftmanship and dirt accumulation can be alleviated with proper sealing.

The coverage on the track package seems incomplete. I think the areas in front of the quarter panels and the vent-bulge on the doors need to be covered as those will be blasted by flying rocks kicked up by front tires. To be complete, the package should include the headlights, leading area of the roof (about a foot long is plenty), A-pillars, and the quarter panel areas behind the rear tires.
~ I completely agree with the above.

Also when I install a clearbra aka ppfā€¦ I always retain the vehicle for 3 daysā€¦ thus allowing me to fully secure the edges so no lifting will take place once returned.

~ all manufactures of ppf films tend to discolor after 2-3 years. something that hasnā€™t been mastered just yet.
