FYI it looks like they are now offering stainless screws for the rear. I’m going to email and ask if they are now using #10 screws instead of #8
I wonder if they are offering the hardware kit for those who already purchased?

I am confused, i thought they are sending it with the right hardware now but the post would suggest that they are not. Did OP get old stock or is this still an issue?

I ordered a first set and had rusty black screws after about 1 week...I ordered a second set and got stainless screws...both times my rear left well bottom screw never engaged with the plastic spacer in place...also why would they use a phillips head on something with no clearance...just use a hex head like stock.

Are the newer SS screws the same #8 size as the earlier black screws? My kit was ordered a while ago, and the provided black screws looked too skinny compared to the stock ones.

ZL1 got back to me, and the screws they are currently shipping out are stainless #10s. Looks like they've corrected the problem.

Has anyone found a good replacement screw for the rear that is black? I see plenty of silver stainless steel ones but would rather have black

My Ace Hardware had #10 screws in black. You could also just tag the top with black spray paint.

That looks like a good option... this doesn't say how many threads per inch... the factory ones are 16. I counted and it looks like these are 12 or 13. Not sure how much that matters
Thread pitch is similar to OEM but I don't know the exact number. I used them for my installation and the guards feel very secure versus the stainless ones included in the kit.

I was advised that the stock screws are secured by a clip behind the wheel well liner, so technically, a the longer 2” screw shouldn’t make a difference vs 1.5” unless the spacers are so tall it blocks out the entire screw. But if it worked better in your case, good to know.
