Carplay has disappeared

The inverse question is relevant as well. Are there any 2020 owners that have NOT lost CarPlay? Be interesting to know. This is widespread enough to try and collect a bit of additional data, such as model year and build month/year (from your door jam) for the impacted cars.

This is funny, looks like MS added CarPlay to Teams today. I do have a corporate phone and we use Teams. Can’t possibly be this though.

I just checked mine tonight and CarPlay is still working. It’s a 2020 I purchased in January. I don’t drive it a lot so if it has to be on to receive ota updates it may not have gotten one. I’ll keep checking periodically.

Definitely sounds like a subscription thing

It was from an OTA update; mine went missing after lunch also, if your car still has CarPlay it just hadn’t finished the update yet lol......just wait.....

this will be fixed in a day or two I believe

Ok so I’m not the only one. I lost my Apple CarPlay today too. Called both Toyota Corporate and the dealer and both stated they see my car listed as “ineligible” for Apple CarPlay and have no idea what happened. They want me to drop my car off next Monday when the Supra certified tech is back to try to find out what happened. I have a 2020 Launch Edition purchased mid October 2019.

The tech will be just as lost as this is a bmw pushed issue lol; we have to shake the tree and in a few days they will make them all “eligible” again lol

Ok, just got to my car. Lost CarPlay too and it wasn’t my usual blue tooth or WI-FI turned off.

My Apple Carplay is still working fine (checked this morning, European time)
Worked yesterday evening as well (came home around 5h30PM European time)

Add me to the list also. 2021 Premium. CarPlay just disappeared. Tried disconnecting and all the things mentioned earlier in the thread. WTF. Hope they hurry up and fix it.
Another thing that has bugged me about it is that I run Waze for police alerts. The alerts will pop up on the car display but there is no audio. The audio works fine if I'm running Waze on the phone but not thru CarPlay.

Mine worked fine for 1 week. Then I upgraded to the iPhone 12pro and did the 14.2 update. Now it vanished smh

Same issue.. 2020 Supra with iOS 14.2.1 on iPhone 12 Pro. Carplay disappeared yesterday, just happened to coincide with an oil change at my dealer but they're swearing up and down they didn't connect to the ECU or do anything which I believe since I still have my tune.. Wifes iPhone that was previously working with CarPlay no longer works either. Have a case open with Toyota Support..

I suggest anyone who has the same issue to do the same 1-800-331-4331 opt 4. The non technical person who takes your call is going to ask you to check the carplay wire (heh) and all the other basic non relevant troubleshooting steps... eventually they'll make a ticket or transfer you to someone who hopefully knows wtf they're talking about.
