I love how the internet keeps saying the Supra is biggest sales flop of all time, but says nothing about the NSX. :rolleyes:o_O

NSX
2016 50
2017 49
2018 47
2019 22
2020 17
Total 185

Supra
2019 2,884
2020 3,309
Total 6,193
The NSX gets free pass because it's a supercar.

He does have a point though. If you check out very early posts on here and all over the internet, people compared how other cars of the MKIV era beefed up to 1000000hp, like NSX, while Supra stayed same.
I for one am happy that its around 400hp and is considerably more affordable... If it came at $160K+, wouldn't have the same hype...
What I mean is, I'm grateful for Honda for coming up with it, but would have been more legendary if it was around same hp & $ as previous gen and continued it's legacy.

When I see these kids ‘selling my Supra’ after barely a year or less of ownership, I just shake my head. ’The car just isn’t what I wanted,’ well why did you buy it? Did you not research it at all?

I suppose youth is the time to flip cars rapidly and make bad financial decisions. :D I think it’s just a shame so many of these short term Supra buyers didn’t consider their wants, needs and situation more before leaping in.

On the plus side, it does help supply the second hand market with a nice steady stream of fairly new cars. :D
i don’t think it’s just kids alone. Grown folks doing it too. But yeah, it’s starting to be a trend.

The A90 is my 3rd new car within 4 years, I just get bored easily personally. I may keep this car for a bit longer than the others, I actually enjoy driving it almost as much as my motorcycle, almost.

Honda should have just stuck with the original formula. Lose the AWD and hybrid system and price it around the competitor's $90k-$100k range. If so, I bet they would have at least saw around Lexus LC numbers and not the current rate of less than 40 units a year. ?

Pretty much, in the sense that its so expensive that no one gives a crap about it. The average joe doesn't have $160k+ to dump on a car. And those that do are probably going to go with a more established brand like Porsche. The Supra being 1/3 of that price is definitely more attainable, so everyone is going to give their two cents regardless of they intend to purchase or not.

The circuit pack has stickier tires? Do you know which tires both models have?

I'm sure its been mentioned before but if Toyota hadn't partnered with BMW it would cost way more than what it does, probably around twice as much & we would most likely still be waiting for it.....

That's only if it was LC based and Toyota had developed their own straight six. A cheaper and faster option would have been to used the RC chassis (I know I know its a pig...) with Toyota's new V35A.

that was what all the OGs had originally thought would happened because the FT1 and RC had the same wheelbase.
