Where is everyone getting this 3000lb weight? I've seen 3284, which is close to what a MKIV hardtop weighed in at in 1993.

450HP Corvette starts at $55K. I sure hope this thing has a lot more than 335HP if it's going to cost $60K.

yep, at $60K starting price, the supra will no longer be competitive in the market. it needs to take advantage of the 45-55K relatively empty space in the performance car category. $60K pits it against well established competitors, at $49K or $52K it'll look like the bargain of the century. faster and handles better than a $57K M2 DCT.

The forum insiders (close to project) have mentioned in other threads that the 1400kg mass is wrong, and it is in the 1200kg region

i think they said the 1496kg best car magazine claimed is wrong and it is closer to 1330kg

He was reffering to that one cayman in the test he posted which it was 3190lbs ,so -250lbs it is 2940lbs = 1333kg

I wonder what a Cayman weighing 250lbs less with a ZF8 would do?

I would spend $45k on b58 engine (3jz lol) Supra if the specs are what we are expecting.

At $60k, there will be the updated M2 with the detuned S55 from the M4, the highly discounted RCF, corvette, cayman, etc. I don’t think I’d spend $60k on the Supra based on what I think specs will be.

It's expected to be the exact same length as the Cayman according to the Best mag leak - 172". No reason to believe it
is going to be any lighter, especially since it will be 6 cyl vs. the 4 in the Cayman.

718 Cayman S with FI F4 is heavier than Cayman S with NA F6.
