it wonā€™t have the same feel. Science guarantees it.

The A90/1 Supra has a chassis thatā€™s stiffer than even the Lexus LFA & you can definitely feel it compared to other cars. Very,Very Rigid and refined ride.

The Supra just screams refinement. Everything inside of it is TIGHT and well built. I can assure you the 400Z will have but loads of thin, flimsy and cheap plastic all over the place. Nissan will have to cut corners somewhere & I bet you itā€™ll be in the interior, which is the place YOU will spend most of your time in while operating it. Thereā€™s very little cheap plastic in the Supra. Itā€™s all carbon fiber, patted leather.

The Supra also does a better job at making you feel like youā€™re in something exotic. The windshield is small, the roof like aggressive and the car has much more design elements all around.

for the money, Iā€™d say the Supra is better.
This vs that when no one has driven the new Z. Time will tell.

Right, but I just thought it was alil odd that he seem to really like that feature.

Im not saying vents arent cool looking but the only reason they were added to the production car was to imitate the FT1. Like the designers hands were tied because of how everyone drool over the concept. I can forgive the ones on the bumpers and hood but the ones on the door look odd AF... It really ruins the clean look of the side profile. Functional door vents could have been posible if they had forgo the FT1 look and went with something more along the lines of the MK4 as pictured from this forums own rendering. But I doubt Toyota could give a F about what I think. Don't mind me just rambling from a non Supra owner.

I remember that rendering. It's gorgeous.

Who knows why they added all the fake vents? Cost? Regulations?

Remember the first generation Audi R8? Some people loved that side blade panel in contrasting carbon fiber or aluminum while others found it strange and off. :dunno:

I think the fake door vent on the Supra is different in that same way. I'd love to see a version where all the visible seams were blended into the door though with just the black plastic piece exposed.

Yes it was. Such a shame Toyota didnt go in that direction instead.

We have a winner! Its just cheaper to stick on fake vents.

That was mention in the face lift thread. There is even a pic of a green one. I will admit it is easier on the eye.

all BMWā€™s start that way. Give it a couple years. Sheā€™ll be rattling down the road like a stick in a bucket of rocks. ;)
false. All older BMWā€™s Iā€™ve driven and sat in ( a lot ) donā€™t feel this way.

you might be confusing it with something else man lol.

Odd that you seem to like all the above. A lot of people have complained about visibility issues, hitting their heads on the low roof, and the strange need to place fake vents throughout the car. I guess to each their own.
You know the ā€œ fake vents ā€œ where put there for ascetic purposes, right ?. It doesnā€™t take a genius to figure out why Toyota didnā€™t bother making them functional. They knew that people would start to modify the car and eventually do it for them.

let someone else eat up the R&D. Simple math, man.

This vs that when no one has driven the new Z. Time will tell.

the 400Z has the same chassis as the 350/370. Nissan is not going to and has not gone balls out on redesigning something thatā€™s already proven. They are also not in a financial position to be able to do so. This is essentially a 370z with a body kit and a bigger engine.

if you have a 370 or have driven one, itā€™ll feel the exact same way just a tad bit smoother. Nothing to get exited about here really.

Another insecure Supra owner I see. Sorry I didnt realize you needed to own one of these to be allowed to post here. Some of us just like chatting about cars. I forgot this generation needed their safe space ?
no one needs a safe space. Itā€™s blatantly obvious that youā€™re here to satisfy your wallets insecurities for not being able to afford one of these by bashing it for every little thing.

just like all the other wannabeā€™s Enjoy your leased Altima though.

literally no one in here is insecure about their Supra. You on the other hand are a wannabe who probably canā€™t afford one of these and goes out of his way to make a whole account to try and aggravate the OWNERS of these cars.

if you canā€™t afford one then thatā€™s fine. If you can, then put your money where your mouth is and STFU.

enjoy your leased Altima though, boy.

nah. Not confusing it with anything. They all start to rattle. All of them.

you desperately need the new Z car to fail hahaha

very reminiscent of mkiv supra owners back in the 90ā€™s talking about rx-7ā€™s and 300zxā€™s.....although my personal favorite then was ā€œwell the skyline isnt sold here so it doesnt matter!ā€ ??

Personally, I hope the car is successful. If it succeeds then there is a higher possibility that we can continue to get fun cars from any manufacturer.

Iā€™m not excited that it sits on an old platform but if itā€™s a good car then itā€™s a good car. Very much like our Supra that everyone puts on blast because ā€œitā€™s just a BMW under the skinā€.

Never understood the fanboy mentality.

Honestly if this is your rebuttal maybe you should just be banned, you don't even own a Supra, your name and persona on this forum are now coming off as extremely troll. You don't seem to have good intentions and aren't even a fan of the Supra. Yeah gtfo honestly.

I agree that they can be a troll sometimes and it would be nice to see comments from them that's not just trolling, but here we support the right to free speech. I don't think they deserve to be banned from a few silly, but harmless comments.

I feel like the car community would prosper if we can admit the merits and demerits that each car has, and if we had thicker skin. But @BimYotaZupra, seeing repetitive troll comments is not fun for everyone else around, and you being a dick about people "needing their safe space" isn't really constructive to the forums whatsoever.

Let's get along guys.

I see you're new here. Absolutely no criticism of the J29 is allowed; only Z35 bashing is (even though we don't have official specs, pricing and not mention not one person on this forum has driven it).

Is there only two extremes? Can't anyone be in the middle?

I wish that was possible, but if you have anything good to say about the Z and you're not on team Supra or have any criticisms then you're automatically labeled a troll.

I'll say it again, personally I hope ALL SPORTS CARS in general do well in the age of CUVs and the go green moment. :nixon:
