I don’t know about corporate getting involved in a warranty claim or fix for your car. The dealership is Toyota of Orlando and the owner of the dealership has a 800+ HP built Supra by the tuner (Titan Motorsports). One of the selling points for Toyota of Orlando is go get the car modified as much as you want and everything is covered as long as Titan does the work.
So, if something goes wrong after Titan tunes it, what, will dealership honor the warranty?? really?

Yeah that’s the agreement and contract between Toyota of Orlando and Titan. The owner isn’t your ordinary car dealership owner. Owns some high end Ferraris, the 800+ HP Supra.

I would take that promise with a HUGE grain of salt. If your engine explodes, Toyota of Orlando doesn't just fix it, they have to get corporate approval in order for those costs to get paid by Toyota. Getting that approval can mean sending details, pictures, oil samples, etc. It's out of the dealership's hands at that point. If corporate says no, do you really think this little independently-owned dealership is going to drop half the price of the car doing a full engine swap on their own dime?

I could possibly see a world where Toyota of Orlando has a deal with Titan to order a new motor at cost or something, but this isn't how warranties work. Typically the dealer makes a request to corporate, corporate does their poking around and approves or denies. Dealers have some pull on the matter, but not much.

Please keep in mind this guy is in Florida and the info could come from someone that consumes bath salts.
??? Typical Florida Man story right? Call Toyota of Orlando and ask em?

If we get to the point where we’re about to blow a motor than yeah I think I’m gonna have on paper with Titan and Toyota of Orlando that I’m covered, but when I purchased the vehicle, I was explained if Titan does my tune, DP, exhaust, motor work like the owner did, I won’t void my warranty. I get that they would need to involve corporate in some matters but again, this isn’t some mom and pop Toyota dealership. As long as they’ve been here selling Corollas, Camry’s, and Prius, they could afford to fix whatever happened with your car, as long as you did it as the agreement was.

I just left Titan. I bought their protune, AMS Intake, and Tomei Single Exit Exhaust. All I can do right now until an unlock happens. Asked the tech to clarify the contract agreement about the warranty;
Bolt ons, covered
An example, heavy engine work, meh
If you got drag radials, and constantly launch the car and break an axle then no, not covered. Basically if something you do is going to break the car then it won’t be covered.

I do. You are not getting work done on a part commonly destroyed by power (I.e., especially engine and trans) without scrutiny from corporate. Period. If you have documentation from the dealership stating that, then that’s fine, but it’s going to be the dealership footing the bill, not Toyota.
Don’t trust a single one of these people if you don’t have it in writing. Dealerships SAYING things like that is extremely common. Dealerships actually putting their money where their mouth is when corporate won’t cover it generally don’t exist.
I’ve been playing this game for ~25 years, and I’ve seen countless people screwed over by dealership promises like this. For some reason, people always want to trust dealerships, known for deceit, over people with plenty of experience, and nothing to gain.

Update to my original post, MP has not responded to me yet
I wouldnt hold my breath with MP. As far as warranty, I wouldnt put too much faith into what Titan's agreement is. There is only so much on the dealer level that both the Service Dept and Titan can do. If your engine has a major failure and Toyota corp sends their own tech out to inspect it, It will be outside of the dealership hands at that point

Appreciate the advice guys, definitely don’t plan on doing major mods to the motor, especially since it can’t be tuned. After the rep at Titan explained their agreement with the dealership more, I got a better understanding of it.

Not the same thing, but when I got the FRS recall on valve springs done, which many dealers FUBAR'ed after applying excessive rtv, (I was against getting the fix done) but dealer insisted they've a good tech, I had the manager write and sign a letter saying they'll cover the costs if in the next x thousand miles the car breaks down..

In short, even though verbal agreements are legally binding, I feel more comfortable with a written statement. Surely there are lawyers that'll rip apart each word, intent, lack of this and that, yet you still hope the dealer will honor their, at least written, word... Heck I'm sure they'll start with some BS like they don't have the authority to make such agreements, etc.
