Speaking of other markets, will the MKV be sold in China? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the MKIV was available in China.

Who they did survey / gather feedback for this car from? A bunch of woman and old rich white dudes?Still plenty of time for things to change, and again we dont know what the truth is to the specs given from the source on page 1. But I figured I add the info so I had it.

Also, I wanted to touch upon was folks doubting a jump from 3050 to 3300lbs.
- Modern, heated/cooled multi way adjustable seats
- 8-10 speaker audio
- TSS-P
- whatever else they tacked on
all of that weighs a ton... not to say that absolutely happened given being skeptical in the first place, but every bit of 250lbs is feasible lol.
Its sad if they did that but it wouldn't surprise me. Money talks and in general older people have more cash to spend ( in general here).Who they did survey / gather feedback for this car from? A bunch of woman and old rich white dudes?
The typical buyer for this car (at least in their minds) is sadly not the sort of individual I'd associate with, and unfortunately that was the case for the A70 and A80 too.Who they did survey / gather feedback for this car from? A bunch of woman and old rich white dudes?
I hate bringing it up but this car has to at least make people ditch the corvettes and sway them over. So H{P and weight has to do it, not just looksThe typical buyer for this car (at least in their minds) is sadly not the sort of individual I'd associate with, and unfortunately that was the case for the A70 and A80 too.
I generally just picture those 50yr old Corvette owners lol.
The one thing I wish they'd do is just give a stripped version with a detuned engine so we get an 86 version of a Supra with TSS in it.I know that we don't always needed to be reminded of this but us enthusiast represent a very small number, the car needs to be competitive and attractive to people who aren't enthusiast. Therefore, it needs to have features that we consider heavy and not needed but for someone else it's a must buy. Remember there are people who buy cars based on if it has Carplay or cooled seats etc.
Now in my educated guess, to save cost alot of German lux parts will stay in the car and well the LUX parts are heavy.
One thing I will not budge on is TSS 2.0 or TSS,or any safety system I don't think it's too heavy. Anything that will allow me to walk away from a wreck in one piece and stay alive is worth it and should be put into the car.
So, I'm by no means an expert but can we run the numbers on what's a good compromise in pricing and specs?Exactly, the smart thing to do is to launch two version, even a limited run of one with out the extra tech. I don't think they'll remove the safety tech, that goes against Toyota's vision. They have to remain at the top for future of mobility and safety is something that should never be compromised.
I think it's because we're in the US market and we only get one car. I'm not going to be surprised if Japan has one without anything on it but TSS.
Hmm I think a good example or a baseline to go by would be how Japan did their 86, IIRC they had a model that you can buy with nothing inside and it just had steelies for wheels. So, I'm by no means an expert but can we run the numbers on what's a good compromise in pricing and specs?
Detuned Supra with TSS only- 3080 lbs, 280 HP 45k
Fully optioned Supra- 3300 425 HP- 54k
Or for the detuned Supra, have an option for each dealership to be able to modify it for about 5k or something to reach the fully optioned Supra in specs with warranty from factory but without the bloated weight?
