Meh, his loss TBH. He’s taken a bath on his F30. Complete motor swap in the first 60 days of ownership due to rod knock. Y’ouch! It’s a write off for him though, he just has to keep building subscribers and viewers on YT and he’s good.
Thicc will come back to the supra, i know it. But this time around, he’ll wide body it.

He did mention on IG that if they do make a manual Supra, he may come back.

But hopefully he doesn't go widebody. Maybe it's just me getting older, but the OEM+ look is the way to go. I think widebody changes the car way too much.

I can’t stand widebody on any car. It’s just to extra. And the my biggest problem is the clout for it. Does a streethunter kit make the supra handle better on the street? No. Does the street hunter make the Supra faster on the track? No. Does a GT500 Supra wide body kit make it go faster on the track? Yes.

Though what you have said was 100% correct, the Streethunter kit does look fire.

Porsche has the same buffeting "issues" on a $150k GT3 lol. They haven't fixed it, because they don't want to, or need to. They make the car as slippery as possible with the windows up. If that induces buffeting with the window down, so be it.
This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^__________ its designed for aerodynamic performance not window down performance. The amount of time wasted on this topic is perplexing. Below 50mph Supra is no issue. Above that there is sufficient road noise to put the windows up anyway. If annoyed the after-market has you covered. Go and shop lol :)

The buffeting complaints are just so silly at this point. I knew about it and the solution before I even bought the car and it was the first mod I did. Toyota did all the aero testing, I imagine if they modify it there would have to be new tests done and it's likely not worth the effort especially since they sell every single Supra they make without a problem.

I agree with you and did the same, though...it is something that is laughable that the manufacturer will not address given how minor it is. It doesn't affect crash tests, safety, performance, unlikely economy, et. For them to fix this at volume, you're talking maybe $20-40 in parts to solve the issue and make it much more enjoyable for consumers. Every single review mentions that the buffeting is a massive detractor in your first experience with the vehicle. It's not a great way to make a first impression.

Exactly! I'm not really pissed because my old cars were all piles of junk, so comparatively this is not a major problem especially since I can spend $100 for a part and slap it on in 2 seconds which fixes it, but yeah that is the irony that they wouldn't fix something so easy as that

Agreed! It may be easy to fix but it’s definitely not a major problem - rather a minor inconvenience. I think people focus on it because the rest of the car is so great ?‍♂ If this is the primary complaint against a car, sounds like one hell of a car to me.

Also, I suspect seat/body position play a major factor in just how bad the buffeting really is. I am very sensitive to this kind of vibration/noise (I’m a classical musician/orchestral conductor… I would say my ears are fairly well-trained) and I have noticed very little buffeting. Certainly less than most cars. I have both seats all the way back and the buffeting frequency in the Supra isn’t too low, nor is it particularly intense for me. If I put my arm on the door while driving, it goes away completely. My Prius, on the other hand, is absolutely terrible for buffeting unless I put both the front and rear window down. Even then it’s like getting smacked in the head with unrelenting low frequency pulses.

For me, a perfect solution would be to have the small rear windows open up from the back (like old van windows… I know). This would help keep the car cooler on hot days, eliminate the buffeting, and wouldn’t alter the aerodynamic properties of the car when the windows are closed.

That said, I would rather Toyota focus on other things. Maybe making strut braces that don’t look like they were made from some dilapidated old shelf they had lying around in the basement?

The wind buffeting is definitely not limited to the Supra. Honestly, imo it isn't a big problem and can be easily remedied. One convenience improvement for the '23 models would be an external trunk/hatch release. They could add it in an unobtrusive location like where the license plate light is, similar to the BRZ/86.
