I’m sure it’ll have a manual gearbox
Probably have Toyota JP or USA do it just for shits and giggles.

Now that's what the Supra suppose to be.

On that note, can we have Tada mod and test the car and see if it is factory approved? If people choose to buy the mods, he gets commissioned or royalties off of the purchases? Would be a great going away present considering how much his health has deteriorated since he started the Supra project.

I think the support and purchases of aftermarket coming into his pockets would be a great thing for him

What really is the issue with his health? Hope he becomes healthy and stays around to guide future engineers for a long time.

I don't know but he doesn't look like Pharrell back when he started the 86.

Pharrell meaning how he stays young even as he approaches his mid 40s and still look 20. Also, he is done after the Supra as he's leaving but will have bestowed wisdom on the junior engineers

Lol. What I’ve noticed with Asians and African Americans is.. they keep looking young for a while and then in a rather quick manner they’ll look their age or even older in the low to mid 50s

TOYOTA, is about to release a bombshell with the Supra after that Lemans victory they are out to prove a point.

I think this will be really good! Like super good, entry level is ok for builders but the Gazoo version will be everything.

Winning Lemans shows they have the tech and feedback they need to make a successful top performing car.

There is a reason why this thing has been kept under wraps for so long, I have faith once again.

Do you think the result would have been the same if Audi or Porsche were still participating in LMP1?

I don't keep up on LMP1 all year, so Im not sure if Toyota was racing a completely upgraded car or the same, but I fully expected Toyota to win given they are the only manufacterer backed team left....if they didn't win.....wow!

Then again, if it was a fully new car with upgraded power, handling, body work etc. then i would have loved to see it up againts Audi / Porsche.....I love Toyota, dont get me wrong, and I am stoked they finally got their victory.....just seems a bit less of a win given the two most successful teams left to focus on Formula E

I tend to agree here.. a win because the other big dawgs weren’t around doesn’t seem so gratifying.

Now come next year if Toyota has a good showing / dare I say even win the GT level Le Mans race with the new Supra against the Porsche 911RSR, Audi R8, BMW M8, Ford GT etc etc........then holy lord that is reason to get excited! I think the lower devision of Le Mans is now the only interesting / competitive race (in my opinion).

What you said makes perfect sense, however I'm speaking on a more general Marketing level...

This win challenged or not certainly gives them some marketability power and shows the consumer, their commitment to racing overall.

I think this along with the Nascar announcement shows consumers that there are fully committed to racing. They bring their drivers, the tech and what they have learned and tie this into the sportscar and it should really be a winning combo.

No better way to lead than example and it's good to see them put their money where there mouth is and enter Motorsport. Don't you think?
