I just looked it up. I have the original BMW projectors.

So for me it would make more sense to use a different lens. But I do not know if there are others for Supra. If someone knows which I would be happy about a link or a number.

My projector

I would just straight up replace the whole unit in your door now with the aftermarket one to make it easy rather than try to find a Supra one

Whatā€™s up yā€™all .
I run into an issue with the installation.
The bolt inside the door handle is stripped and I could figure out a way to get it removed . Anyone ran into this issue and if so any ideas how to get the screw out without having to break the handle?
Iā€™m stuck now with the right side done and the left I have no idea how to remove that damn screw!!!
Thanks in advance

They look great. Something for my wishlist when I get my Supra. Iā€™m a mechanical moron, so I wouldnā€™t attempt this myself. Maybe I could get someone to do it for me. Great write up?

Maybe you can use a large drill bit to drill off the head of the bolt? Hopefully if that works then you can grab the rest of the bolt with vise-grip pliers and get it out?

Iā€™m gonna probably have to use a dremel but itā€™s gonna melt the plastic inner cup , so if that works Iā€™ll just have to buy a new inner handle ?

Well if that works and you donā€™t totally destroy the inner part of where the bolt is maybe you can just use a bigger washer when you put a bolt back in. Itā€™s covered by that plastic piece you had to remove in order to remove the bolt anyways so maybe it wonā€™t be visible.

This is a great write-up and thanks for taking the time to do it.

Question - why is the passenger door GR logo gold/yellow and the driver side red?

They are actually both red. Itā€™s just a bad picture.

For some reason, I thought it was already there. I went to look and, damn. It definitely does not have a light there. ?

looks good but I donā€™t know if itā€™s worth doing all of that.

It looks much better than in pics, itā€™s totally worth the effort and itā€™s a cheap upgrade. Do it! ?

Hereā€™s an overview of how to install these Puddle Lights that I bought from Amazon.

Next I used some zip ties to attach the wire along the wiring harness for a nice clean install. Use a ring terminal to ground the lights to the nut I circled in the pic.

For my install I used these Futaba RC servo connectors that have the 2 pin connectors. You can find them on Amazon also and I have the link posted above with the lights.

On the lights the POSITIVE connector is the one closest to the center of the light, then the outside lead is NEGATIVE.

Connect your positive and negative leads and TEST that the lights work by pressing your UNLOCK button on your remote. If it works then youā€™re golden! I just used electrical tape to secure my connections but you can use whatever you want.

Here is what my finished harness looks like. I would recommend maybe making it longer than I did just so you have more length to play around with but mine worked just fine.

After following this write-up I've had some issues with the projector lights. Both the driver and passenger side lights flicker a bit as the door opens and closes, but are fine once the door sits still. I checked the lights with a bench top power supply, and I've triple-checked my splice into the 12v (grey w/ Yellow stripe) on both sides. I've even put an oscilloscope to it without seeing the voltage change at the end of my homemade harness. When I run a run a temporary wire from the window regulator bolt to the battery nuetral the puddle light gets brighter and no longer flickers. This makes me think using the regulator bolts as a ground path is not ideal, anybody else seen this issue or know where I can grab a proper ground in the door wire harness?
