Well a little Supra outline came up on the screen, tapped it and said oil change due. Got the Supra March 2021, and it has 3,300 miles on it. Called where I bought it and made appointment. Made sure they had the right oil, filter before I bring it in, everything was a okay. The general manager has 3 of these Supra's, and has three trained mechanics on site. So I'll be meeting them when I go in for oil change, and make sure they don't mess up when pulling that filter out, cause I'll be real upset if that happens. Also I'll be asking them how they check the right amount of oil, do they drive it for thirty minutes and do the check, or do I and bring back for the check after there done. So I'll let everyone know when It's done on March 22nd, and how it went.

oof.

While I understand your concern here, there is really nothing to worry about. This is.. obnoxious. It's an oil change. There are no gotchas on changing the filter or anything else.

If you're that concerned, Grab some LiquiMoly 5w-30 and do it yourself.

It's got the same engine layout as 250,000+ other mass-produced BMWs, on which any average technician could change the oil in his sleep.

Dude… this is way over board. If you don’t trust them, do the oil change yourself. I’ve done both of my oil changes since I bought the car. It’s just as easy as any other car I’ve owned. It’s even easier to get it up in the air that my s2k or C7 vette were…

Yeah, even put that Fumoto quick oil change valve for easy changes and put LiquiMoly.
That's if you preferably have some jacks/lift or don't mind getting under into tight spaces, can turn the plastic oil cover without breaking and not over torquing the valve causing leaks... Have oil pan and towels...
Well ok basically:

lol

it is not a Ferrari. I am sure they don't need or like you breathing over their shoulder. Sometimes that attitude works against you.

If you are really that picky do it your self. My 12 your old niece could do it.

Only thing to remember is there are *two* service menus in the dash depending on whether the car is "on" or not when you hold down the button... and you can't reset the oil on the wrong menu... just changed my rex oil last weekend and this caught me up again lol

Just double check to make sure they don’t swap the engine behind your back.

All joking aside, shit happens. If tech put 20-40W, who will know? Maybe down the road you'll get problems, but good luck tying that to 1 service change...

Also, not a Toyota, not a Supra, but couple years back wife's Cherokee went in for thermostat change on a brand new vehicle (6-mo old). Granted it's more complicated than oil change, but came back with 0 coolant or major leakage, perhaps hose not tightened. 2-3 days later, wife driving alone 10pm at night, engine up in smoke... new engine received in 2.5 months.. so, yeah shit happens..

You can't idiot proof the process they will just make better idiots.

I know one thing- service depts have terms for the uptight people that are nuisances. You are actually working against your best efforts and intentions. You are much better off to buy a box of donuts and really be appreciative of their hard work.

Appreciate all the input. I guess I'm a little over concerned. I'll jut take it in, and go from there. If they mess up, it's on them.
