Finally got done breaking in our built engine and tossed it on the dyno for a preliminary shakedown to see where we are before pushing through 1000whp. Shes a healthy steed. Engine built by Bill at BMB Autowerks.

Power mods: Docrace EFR9280 kit, EOS port injection Plate, Pure Drivetrain Solutions Built Trans, Built 3.0L, Twisted Tuning CANBUS LPFP Kit, Twisted Tuning 3.5" Stainless Steel Single Exit Exhaust

On a Mustang Dyno no less. That's basically like 98354 horsepower on a DynoJet right?

Yea that mustang reads pretty low, my Evo put down 630 whp on a DJ, 590whp on a higher reading Mustang and 512whp on this Mustang.

Nice start! How much boost? Would be nice to see the whole graph.

This is the problem with MD -- they don't read "low" or "high" or in between they read however they are calibrated. Great for tuning but it's impossible to reliably compare not only against other dyno brands, but even from one MD to the next. At least with a Dynojet they are all consistent; there is no user-adjustment and unless you physically alter the drum, there is no way to cheat one (aside from dicking with the correction factor, which is very obvious).

people cheap dynojets all the time. and its not just the correction factor. trust me. Our dyno was calibrated by MD themselves. so whatever it reads is what MD themselves what it to read.

every MD ive used ready similar to the conditions. but again, its just a tool to measure gains. its always good to get a baseline on the same dyno that you use to measure said gains.

Not arguing that yours reads right or wrong, just in general MD read however they're calibrated, and they can be wildly different (as referenced by the post I quoted).

I would love to hear how you can cheat a DJ outside of correction factor. :hmm:

i wasnt saying you were saying mine is right or wrong. Just for some reason people think Dynojets arent and cant be manipulated.

people use the temp sensor (weather stack) all the time to alter power. but i guess that can also be tied into the correction factor as well if you wanted to.
