If Tada has had the right solution in the handling department with the 86, he’ll also be able to do the same with the Supra, while adding more power with the BMW engines. In short, it’s an “86 Turbo”, but rebadged as “Supra”.

I believe the 3.0-litre I6 engine makes it a Supra. The 2.0-litre I4 is more of the “86 Turbo”; but with I4, not H4.

I’m 39, I have owned many cars and I already got the tiny 2 seater, hard riding, sports car out of my system. The A80 is a GT, not a pure sports car, although it has the heart of a sports car. These two cars might share the same name but are meant to be very different kind of cars. You guys are only looking at horsepower and weight. I get it, you are excited for a new sports car with the Supra name. I was hoping for something that is more 1:1 kind of a Supra, just updated for the times. I am entitled to have a different opinion then yours.
Thank you for correcting no one. I never said a GT can’t have a 2 seater although that’s not typical. The new Supra was designed as a pure sports car, not a GT. There you go, you have been corrected.
