Yes, maybe. I hope it doesn’t cost $60k or at least the only model being $60k. The mk4 did not sell well so I’m hoping they’ve decided to have US models under $50k. I’m lucky enough to not have any student loans/debt, or a wife and kids. Seems like the time in life to buy something like this even though it might be a financial stretch.

I am curious, with all the different opinions on the new A90 Supra, who here will be able to afford one and who is actually going to be buying one when they come out.

I’ll start. I can afford one but I am not convinced yet that I will actually want one. It has a lot to live up to before i’ll consider it.
i'm in this boat. I have three supras and an AMG and am out of room. The A90 seems cool, but I won't buy a car without driving. Some cars are awesome on paper and just do nothing for me - while some are crap on paper and I adore them.

what are people on? let the GT305 go first? WHAT.

I'd drop that Z06 like a bad habit... it's BY FAR the least appealing car out of all of those lol

The GT350 is limited qty and that flat plane V8 is GLORIOUS.

I do however agree with keeping the Viper and Supra for all time.

I can afford the car, but I would need it to come in manual to make the purchase.

Other cars I'm considering are M4, M2, used 911 or turbo my BRZ and save money

Totally agree with you on those points. Love the C7Z but the FPC GT350 is one of a kind.

I can afford it but if I don’t sell one of my current toys then I’d run the risk of getting thrown out of the house.. so.. most probably I won’t be getting it unless Toyota grows a pair and gives me a manual option.

Even with the manual option.. I’m deeply in love with all 4 of my toys. So tell me.. which one should I sell ...

1100hp MKIV Supra?
800hp GenV Viper?
700hp C7Z06?
526hp GT350?

Would any of you replace one of the above cars for the MKV S(Z)upra?
UMMMMM.... The civic :p

Yep, I can afford it. I decided to hold back from buying both an RCF and an M2 to wait for the Supra. If Toyota gives us a Supra with the proper engine at launch, I'll gladly hand them my money. If not I can wait it out, Toyota won me over with the looks of the car either way
Have to agree, the GT350 would be the first to go, then the Z06. Viper and MKIV are nonnegotiable.

Sad thing I see is people wanting the RCF. The car could have had a great following, but just missed the mark. I really wanted a RCF when they first came out, even talked my friend into getting one over the M4.

I wont be surprised if a manual option comes out at some time. I'm sure the power and trans convos were in Tadas ear, at every event he's been to.

Here's to waiting. Look forward to being a big presence in the aftermarket segment, when they finally do release the MKV.
I decided to stop waiting and recently purchased an M2, I love it. But like most fun cars I've owned I will always be looking at what is next. Yes, I can afford the new Supra, but like most here I will want to see the final product before saying I would buy it. If the power to weight ratio is in the ballpark and the final look is sexy enough, it will definitely be on the short list of what I would be looking at.

I really liked the RCF, if it had a MT and/or weighed 500 lbs less, it might have won over the M2.

I refuse to buy a $60k car. I would be interested in the lower turbo4 trim of the A90 for mid to high forties which is what I could reasonably afford. But when you can buy used posrches and M cars for that cost, it'll have to deliver The Fizz and I don't think it will.

What do you mean by "afford?"

I can get approved for the loan and be able to make the payments on it but I do not consider that to be the same thing as afford lol.

With all the other exciting cars out now or soon to be out, it really is hard to choose

30's Here, engaged, good salary, Just got word Im becoming partner at my company too starting January 2019, 3200sqft Home Mortgage, Retirement Accounts, Bills Etc all paid by my salary alone. 4 Total Cars (2 sports cars paid off). Both our DD's will be paid off over the next 12 months.

My fiance doesn't work at the moment but graduates in 6 months as an RN and will then take over half the bills. She is amazing and will be pulling in a good amount to help and pay me back for taking care of her through Nursing school. I have her approval of I can buy whatever I want when I am ready.

So I will be spending around 100-120k on my next sports car (being able to retain my MKIV TT 6 speed, my JDM 180sx, and my DD.) If its good ill be getting the Top GRMN model, Otherwise I am looking at Vipers (15+ ACR), R8s, GTR's, 911 Turbos, etc. I have friends with those and have driven all the options which I love. But I definitely want something different and rare. So here is to hoping the GRMN is limited production and super crazy looking.

The weird part to me is all 4 of our current cars are manual. A New Supra might be our first Auto lol

You mean 16+ ACR. Good position to be in.. the new Supra will not compete with any of the cars you mentioned. Just go buy one of those.

Ya sorry 16+ viper acr. I don't track so its not about raw performance to me. The Viper is winning but Im holding out to see what this new supra is supposed to do over the next year or so. Also I think the ACRs are floating around 130-140 right now. Waiting to see if they come down a little, not sure if they will with the production stop.
