My buddy said his rep said coming as early as Monday. It has been on open campaign for past week. This is Corpus Christi.Anyone getting one in Texas have luck with theirs being lifted off of QC hold/open campaign? Just heard from my dealer that it is still stuck under open campaign.
Thanks for the update, I feel like your buddy and I's is in the same batch. Mine went into open campaign around the same time. Did theirs come off of open campaign, or their dealer just guesstimated it would come off soon and arrive soon?My buddy said his rep said coming as early as Monday. Dealer didn’t explicitly say it was off campaign. He just mentioned it could be off truck by Monday. Sorry I don’t have more accurate news. Thanks for the update, I feel like your buddy and I's is in the same batch. Mine went into open campaign around the same time. PS: Congrats on finally getting yours!
That gives me hope! I appreciate it. How's the car by the way?Dealer didn’t explicitly say it was off campaign. He just mentioned it could be off truck by Monday. Sorry I don’t have more accurate news.
Probably made people like me feel better that I wasn’t still waiting on my 2022 “in transit”. I personally would have been fine. But just sayin ?So honestly guys reading back a few pages has made me start to believe that Toyota purposely set up this quality control hold so that there were no 2023 supras on the road until end of September early October for some reason
Can’t confirm this but I believe Toyota was waiting for all the trim pieces that separate the A91. Like the red badge, the strut bar, special shifter. If you noticed the demos for the press release didn’t have them, not to mention the ‘23 a90 automatic were already hitting dealer lots while there was a hold on the a91s, it appears as if perhaps GST may have been going thru the same thing. Just a theory. Here near me dealers still have 2022's on their lots unsold due to stupid markup/addon prices. For Toyota to be slow-walking the 2023's out is not a shock to me really.
I was under the impression the press cars were more or less mockups and not indicative of the actual final A91 production car. Like something they cobble together using whatever parts they have on hand instead of the exact parts, as those cars are not intended for retail sale primarily and they don't have to necessarily worry about warrantying those vehicles. Can’t confirm this but I believe Toyota was waiting for all the trim pieces that separate the A91. Are you in GST region? Regardless the dealer doesn’t know how long the hold is. It could be a day, could be longer, dealer doesn’t know what the hold is for much less the time. My buddy who was told by his rep it could show up today, followed up with me and said no go today and he didn’t say why. Again rep just doing the best he can with limited info he has. My buddy is in GST region. Good luck.Just got word from my dealer that my QC hold was extended another 20 days. I am extremely concerned as the 30 days have been up since its hold started back in august 26. Does this mean my unit actually has the issues the recall was started for? IF so will I be receiving, potentially a factory defect on that supra?
I HATE THE WAITING GAME.
Dealer definitely knows the ETA of the car. However, the QC hold only gives an estimate of when the car is going to be released from QC hold, usually 30 days. This time around after the 30 day hold, their data base updated saying the hold was updated to an extra 20 days. Hopefully I can get my car sooner, but my question was if the hold was extended does that mean my car was one of the affected ones??Are you in GST region?
