I've shipped two cars with Capital Auto Transport (CAT). Great experience.

Just remember that these services are BROKERS. None of them set the rate. The trucks set the rate. The rate will vary wildly with the to/from destination, the time of year, the weather, gas prices, etc. But expect about $900-1200.

DO NOT USE A BROKER. Especially Marvel Transport. They told me it was enclosed and it turns out it was open! They said I was wrong. Yada yada but I showed them emails and proof etc. They ended up refunding me the entire amount after I told them I can just call my credit card company and how I write an horrible review and also contact the BBB. Even the driver told me Marvel is a MF! Situation could have been worse.

I’m pretty sure Marvel is a franchise. I used Meryl. Met her in NC and she actually owns her trucks. It was her dad’s business. Anyways, she will only broker out if you have a need beyond their own capacity. I’ve never been in a mega rush (p/u by Saturday deliver by Monday, type of guy), so I’ve always had their own peeps. Very positive experience. It’s up to about a buck a mile nowadays. So she’s not the cheapest but you get what you pay for imo.

And agree on the broker part! I’d rather deal with one person who employs their own people.

I had a great experience with them aswell (marvel ). Car came in a enclosed trailer as discussed and plus it was also carrying a Viper,a 1968 classic mustang fastback <3 and a lambo.
Taking delivery of my A91MT felt more awesome lol

maybe A91-MT!
Welp, I just went through my headaches with brokers.
First - the rates are just insane right now for some reason. All of the places I've contacted have been around 2k for closed transport.

I tried using Amerifreight and everything was well and good, contract was there, and dispatch was going to pick up today. Now there is an issue with the driver's permits or some crap. They tried picking another carrier but they wouldn't be able to pick it up for another week which puts the delivery time frame where I won't be around until after Thanksgiving (which is the biggest reason I selected them in the first place, to be delivered beginning of next week).

You would think I would get a full refund on the broker fee right? Nope, only 50% back of $350.
I'm going to end up paying premium for one of the companies that a friend suggested (fleet manager at a major manufacturer) which would put me on around $2.5k.
Makes me sad thinking of all the aftermarket parts I couldve bought with this money if my local dealers weren't so effin greedy.

Anyway long story short - I won't be dealing with brokers anymore.

You know the BBB is a scam right?
No I didn’t, but most people I surmise prolly don’t know either, so the threat still works none the less.

Sorry to hear that. Don’t let it detract from the awesome experience of the a91-mt! You did your part by telling your story so hopefully it will help people in the community.

I just used Montway Auto Transport (broker) for San Diego area to Austin. $1,469 enclosed. Would have been a little over $1k open. Picked up earlier than expected and delivered earlier as well. Definitely recommend them.
