I also run KW DDCs and agree they arent stiff enough for the track. Theyre not bad mind you, but if youre mostly track, youre on the right track to get something different.
Ohlins if youre cost sensitive. Theres a few shops that can even custom valve/spring them.
Moton/MCS/JRZ if youre not.
Thanks DarkZ! I was truly spoiled back in the day and really took the customization/curbside service for granted:

We’d drive the shit out of our cars and I never thought twice about the details. These guys were racing anyways (Sick Sideways) and I’d piggyback off their hard work, success and knowledge. Does your shop do something similar or race at Sebring? It was nice to continually ā€œdial inā€ the car. If I couldn’t describe something that was ā€œoffā€ well enough, one of the pro drivers could just hop in real quick and tell the team which part and exact location of the thing that needed replacing or attention.

Hence where I’m at now. I’ve taken time off from the sport when the team dissolved. Getting back into it now, realize how much knowledge and detail goes into continually pounding the pavement. Sounds like MCS & JRZ are a good coilover for my lack of mechanical knowledge and computer sensor stuff. And buying from Jackie PHD would have some racing input/help.

Are these plug and play? Someone pinged this thread and now seeing your post/response again. I’d much rather follow your lead. Appreciate your extensive knowledge and track experience with this car! You know my biggest dilemma, the ability to reset the computer if anything is off.
Honestly, you would probably be very happy with the Ohlins. Pair them with some good camber plates, they would come out to be around $3,600 or so.

Next up would be MCS 1-way for around $4,200 with camber plates. Next would be MCS 2-way (what I use) for around $5,000

All of the above need EDC cancellers for around $350

Ohlins with vorshlag camber plates + RSR cancellers
Approx price: $3,900

MCS 1-way with vorshlag camber plates + RSR cancellers
Approx price: $4,550

MCS 2-way with vorshlag camber plates + RSR cancellers
Approx price: $5,350

Another option are the HKS Hipermax MAX IV SP coilovers but they will ride the worse of all these options

HKS Hipermax MAX IV SP (come with camber plates) + RSR cancellers
Approx price: $3,300

Someone be the Guinea pig and try out Feal's coilovers.

They're known in the drift scene but their website says they have road track/grip setups as well with and w/o upgraded Swift springs.

I was going to be the test victim since I am good friends with Odi the owner and since his shop is right up the street from me but I passed. I had their double adjustables on my Evo and they seemed pretty good after we got the valving right.

Let me know if you want to try them out and I will get you my cost on a set!

I emailed hoping to work with them but they didn't seem interested :(

And I'm definitely not jumping into an unproven setup on this platform which is known for out-performing most of the shit on the market when used on track.

You got to talk to Mike over there. But if you change your mind, just let me know.

Also interested in the Feal coilovers since they’re facility is like 10 min away from me but can’t seem to find anyone who uses them on our platform

I’m sure Feal would be great! I was lucky enough to have a profession track team I piggybacked off of when I had my S2K. If you’ve got a really good shop or race team, go for it! They’ll get you custom spring rates and work with Feal. And it sounds like you guys know someone. Even better. They are likely working with pro drivers already. Definitely piggyback on someone who is competing with them, on our platform, or something similar :)

No one is competing with them on the Supra platform. That's the thing. Lol

No one's around to give feedback and when KW's are blowing left and right it's kinda hard to pay the same/similar price point for something no one has first hand supra documentation on lol.

Good point. Makes sense. I know thereā€˜s going to be more of us out there. Love this platform. I want to get a couple pros in my car to get some professional feedback, on lots of things. I know red Supra Jason is the same way (don’t know his username on here). More importantly, I can’t wait to get some professional baseline times in my car. Will keep you posted :)

Exactly! And honestly there's such a gap in the market at that price range for good track coilovers. We need more development there.

The european market is not big. Some choose Ɩhlins, some KW, if you spend your left kidney you get your hands on a Nitron suspension. Most guys at the tracks in the EU have fitted KW coilovers.
I'm happy with my KW Clubsport coilovers too. To be fair: At my full-track orientated F21 I'm running a Bilstein Clubsport+ suspension. The quality is ahead. But it's pricey.
If you're really into racing your car you should go at least with a KW-clubsport if you're not on budget and if you want to go with a KW. As someone before said: KW V1, V2, V3 have all disadvantages you don't need at the racetrack. A good option too is the ST XTA "Plus3" with stiffer springs. The valve technology is really good and much better than the "old" KW clubsport valve-technology.

On the MCS 2-way which springs did you go with? Doesn't appear to be a difference in price between race and track
