Thanks DarkZ! I was truly spoiled back in the day and really took the customization/curbside service for granted:I also run KW DDCs and agree they arent stiff enough for the track. Theyre not bad mind you, but if youre mostly track, youre on the right track to get something different.
Ohlins if youre cost sensitive. Theres a few shops that can even custom valve/spring them.
Moton/MCS/JRZ if youre not.
Weād drive the shit out of our cars and I never thought twice about the details. These guys were racing anyways (Sick Sideways) and Iād piggyback off their hard work, success and knowledge. Does your shop do something similar or race at Sebring? It was nice to continually ādial inā the car. If I couldnāt describe something that was āoffā well enough, one of the pro drivers could just hop in real quick and tell the team which part and exact location of the thing that needed replacing or attention.
Hence where Iām at now. Iāve taken time off from the sport when the team dissolved. Getting back into it now, realize how much knowledge and detail goes into continually pounding the pavement. Sounds like MCS & JRZ are a good coilover for my lack of mechanical knowledge and computer sensor stuff. And buying from Jackie PHD would have some racing input/help.
