I'm planning on reaching out to Sweidit to do my custom boot.

I've also been making some progress in replicating the shape of the bracket for the shift boot. Hopefully the one getting printed now makes the bottom right corner fit as it should so that I can move on to making the bracket itself.

I’m honestly surprised how much I like the Oem knob, love the weighted feel and the Alcnatara. Maybe eventually I’ll mess with it tho!

I agree, I really like the OEM shifter, I just dont like the Alcantara. Look at the 2 shifters below, one is new and the other is from my car with 1200 miles and you already see the grime.

I am trying to source the leather non A91-MT shifter but the part is unavailable through Toyota right now and I cant find it any where else. in the mean time, I will be using the black forest leather knob.

How much taller do some of these aftermarket knobs sit compared to the stock knob?

Here is a pic of the black forest knob I installed, it is about 4 1/2" inches high (in neutral).

I did not measure the stock knob, maybe someone can measure their knob the same as I did below so we can compare.

Looks like the stock knob is closer to about 4 1/4" in neutral.

Did my install of the Raceseng knob with collar and I will definitely be buying the red Nitro with the dimples after returning this one that was used for testing purposes. I did cut a bit higher than
Prado150, 3/4" from the base of the OEM knob in my case. I do not have any tugging but I would recommend anyone else trying this to cut at this height as a minimum, if they can cut 1" from the bottom even better because it will also make it easier to tie down the boot.

I used one of the blades that I use on my razor and cut 3/4" from the bottom of the knob. I posted a picture a few comments above so let me know if you need any more information.

Took a much better picture of how everything fit. Still trying to get the bezel replicated so that I can start on getting a custom boot.
