Just ordered some 19" wheels to replace my stock wheels. I am planning on moving my stock 275 tires up front and the purchasing Continental Extremecontact Sport 02 305's for my rear wheels.

Forgive me as this is the first time I am modifying a car, but what is the actual difference between 305/30/19 and 305/35/19 other than the sidewall being a little taller? Any issues with going either route (weird ABS or traction control sensors issues)? I am lowered on coil overs so I should be able to adjust ride heigh to fit either tire size?

I always assumed 305/30's was the go-to for the rear, but the more I look on this forum and on the Facebook groups, it seems it is very split between 30 and 35 side walls.

Go 35’s. Its more beefy sidewalls and rides better. Only certain tire brands have a 305/35/19 tho.

305/30 - ride quality is fine on KW V3, depends on your suspension setup.
305/30 is -1.41%
305/35 is +3.02

305/35 is a much heavier tyre and raise your final gearing so less thrust in each gear

i would go 305/30 or 315/30

Thanks for the reply. Do you rub on your fronts or rears?

I am planning on going 275/30/19 up front and 305/30/19, but won't be going as low as you, I want to go maybe like 1.5-2 finger gap. Do you think i'll rub on supra spec wheels 9.5"F 10.5"R?

Hey guys, I have stock suspension.. would 35 sidewall be an issue running 305/35/19 in the rear and 275/35/19 up front… any rubbing or figment issues?

I went 275/30 in front and 305/30 in the rear with eibach z4 springs. I think it’s right around what you’re looking for. Love the look

I’m running 275/35/19 in the fronts and 305/30/19 in the rears on stock suspension with no rubbing issues. Might opt for 35 in the rears when it’s time for new tires to fill in some of that gap, but honestly the most I’ve noticed compared to stock tires is just more road noise which doesn’t bother me.
