Howdy ,
I just ordered 2023 3.0 base nitro yellow, but I’m a little torn between moving up to premium for the larger rear brakes . I could care less about the upgraded tech in the premium , just want the alcantara seats and cheaper price. I do plan to autox occasionally. What do you guys think?

Just curious where you saw that the premium has larger rear brakes? I didn't see that on Toyota's site.

I’d it doesn’t have car play @BRCoding can hook that up for a couple hundred, the seats are 100% worth not getting the premium imo. You can always upgrade the rear brakes but most of the stopping power is from the front so unless you plan on tracking you probably won’t notice the smaller rear brakes.

I know the earlier models came with smaller brakes in the rear but I’m not sure if that’s still the case in 2023MY.

So you'd say the alcantara are better than the leather for the price? I know I saw someone selling the leathers for $800 for the set.

It’s funny how they negated a 0-60 on the MT. They didn’t want to put a slower time in there. Of course it’s subject to the drivers ability, but they used it totally as a way to not advertise a slower time.
Yeah that Sounds like something BMW would do. I can’t believe Toyota went along with it.

No. The rotors on the supra are aluminum hats pressed into iron discs. Aluminum for that actual discs would last like a week, if that. lol

Premium:
348mm front rotors
345mm rear rotors

Base:
348mm front rotors and unpainted calipers (same size as premium)
330mm rear rotors and smaller caliper/brake pads, also unpainted

Hi, not sure if you're looking at auto or manual, but 23 base manual cars get the premium red brakes now.
