Hi there. So I was wondering what settings you used to connect to Protool? I’m using the MHD universal adapter which according to Burger Tuning is compatible with Protool. When I try to connect to the adapter, Protool says it cannot connect or maybe it said it couldn’t find my car but I was definitely connected to the adapter using wifi. I was using the auto-detect function. Thanks.
Make sure the car is in diagnostic mode. 3 quick taps of the start button with your foot NOT on the brake.

Hmmmm didn’t even need Protool to delete the error codes the second time. MHD app allowed me to clear it. Awesome.
It is weird how some things just go in and out… This seems to be a common theme I’m hearing across the BMW board. Not to be confused with bitching, which I initially was doing. I’ve been told these modern BMWs are “quirky”. That’s about the best description/explanation I’ve come across.

Glad it worked out for ya!

Just clearing the errors will have them come back if you have a race seat. You need protool to code the errors out.

Ok I’ll see what happens. I guess what I should have said was that after I installed my seats I did have the errors coded out remotely and all was good. Then the error came back because I had to disconnect and remove the seats to work on them. I’m hoping this second time around that clearing the error is all that’s necessary but if it comes back then I’ll look into it again and try to figure out why I can’t get Protool to connect to the MHD adapter.

Hi All,
Just took my old seats today and started on the procedure of putting in harness and seat. Then I realized I have a few problems.

Right now I'm not quite sure how to use the mounts - I got a lot of hardware and of course no instructions. I got the sliders on but I think someone else suggested not to get tabs and I bet I have tabs which is presenting a bit of a problem as I can't figure out how to get the sliders to go back and forth to screw them into the mount. I will do some digging around the internet.

Well, I didn't think about this when ordering parts - I got a Recaro Sportster GT - but I want to put back in the regular 3 point so I can have 6 point for track and still use 3 point around town when I want. That means I need to figure out a way to mount the one receptacle and then I suppose I need to add another receptacle. Any suggestion on parts for both sides?

I'll get to the coding but first I have to get the mounting...

So will my cruise control work with this coded out? With the harness unplugged and the race seat installed on my 22 premium, it disabled the cruise.

I don't see why not. That said, I don't think I have used my cruise at all yet. lol

So this worked to clear the airbags errors, but it created Restraint system, Reduced driver assistance and Adaptive Cruise Control errors. It’s a 2022 premium. All I’m trying to do is leave the race seats installed and still be able to use cruise control when I’m daily driving. Any bimmergeek experts out there that could help me with this?
