useless Reflex systems
What problems have you had with reflex? What hasn't it solved for you? I've leveraged it quite a bit for my use case as a legitimate controller for a lot of car IO. What was it unable to do for you?

really the only advantage Ecutek has currently
The Ecutek/reflex integration is incredibly powerful right now. Of course, that can change, but having the CAN integration between the two is something that I haven't seen with any other combination. Ecutek also has a lot of fixes for things that the stock ECU -cannot- handle at high boost/high hp applications. I haven't seen BM3 beable to handle these quite yet, but I do know they're working on that stuff.

Ecutek has its obvious flaws (handling 5bar MAPs didn't even really work until recently, and there's still the Mass Airflow Bug where it can't compute properly for flow greater than 2048 kg/hr, and a whole slew of hacks we have to do for 1000+hp: exhaust cam rolling, fuel management with 12 port injection injectors, etc.). Obviously standalone would be a better answer there, but it's not available yet.

Right, that is why I said once BM3 gets PI integration it's going to change things.

The other things you are mentioning are like 1% problems. :p

Yeah I am looking for something tuneable, has option to return to stock without re-locking the DME. The cloneable DME route is pretty costly and not something many of us want to do.

CARB is such a soul sucker.

Has this been confirmed that you can load the original stock map to pass CARB?

And 1% problems are the only one that matter ;) to me.

I completely agree. This is going to be a big change. BM3 CustomRom stuff will be good for everyone- I have zero doubt.

Lots of valid points...
I absolutely LOVE bootmod3, its been the needed change in automotive tuning software that we've needed for a long time.

I've had BM3 for both my 15 M4 and 18 M3 and for OEM tuning there is literally nothing better on the market for ANY ECU. The wait is 100% worth it with those guys!!

Until these cars are required to pass smog, we won't know.
Read the CVN before flash, read the CVN after flash, read the CVN after flashing back to "stock".

Compare the 1st flash and 3rd flash CVN numbers. If they don't match. No workie.

I should have read my CVN before I tuned the car.
Your original CVN should be the same as all the other 2020s. Maybe someone else can read theirs out who hasnt tuned yet.

Here is my CALID and CVN for my tuned 2020 (with BM3)

CALID: ECB72D7E
CVN: 2F9D600C

I'll flash back to stock after my next two events and compare.

Anyone with an untuned 2020 want to read their details and share?

If we can flash back to literal STOCK to pass the OBD-II check, my ECU is going BM3, immediately. Worth it for the flex fuel option.
