If we can flash back to literal STOCK to pass the OBD-II check, my ECU is going BM3, immediately. Worth it for the flex fuel option.
Not just that but also retaining the unlock. That’s the only thing that’s kept me from getting unlocked with Femto.

Paying to unlock every two years would suck LOL

I ordered a BM3 flex fuel kit for the A90 came in quick but it didn’t come with any instructions for installation. I sent a message and they asked for my VIN and then ghosted me. I know my way around the car but come on man! I guess I’ll send it back.

You guys could always buy a later model locked ecu for cheap and have it cloned to your factory ecu. Will be a couple hundred more but a lot less worries when it comes to the dealership and smog.

For anyone that had run the BM3 OTS maps. Have you noticed a difference between stage 1 93oct vs stage 2 93oct? My butt dyno is telling me stage 1 feels faster than stage 2.

How does that work, not being pre 6/2021 or whatever? I'd DEFINITELY do that.

It works exactly the same as if you were cloning an unlocked ecu, prices and all. Difference is the ecu is MUCH cheaper to buy.

Ah, I forgot we need to be very specific on this site ?
This part is new to me: So post June 2021 ECUs can be used to clone a locked ECU. You end up with two, identical, locked ECUs.
I can then have either one unlocked to run BM3.
So, the only advantage to finding a pre-june 2021 ECU is that you can run different tuning software.
Is that about it?
If so, I will eBay an ECU immediately. All I'm after is flex fuel. This whole testing and mixing to get <E30 business is annoying. Especially since It's just to help the car run a bit cooler. It would be nice to not have to be so exact.
