A correction in the Ethanol section>

You might hear of E30, E40, E50 all the way up to E85. Those numbers indicate octane content, and how much pump gas is mixed in with the E85 or ethanol.

This is unclear or potentially misleading. The Exx notation only indicates the ethanol percentage of the fluid by volume. The octane is different. Most sources place E85 at 105 octane (using United States AKI definition of octane). Mix with 93 at E10, you get: E30 = 96.2 octane, E40 = ~98, E50 = 99 octane, E60 = 101 octane and so on.

I will add it in thank you for pointing it out. Appreciate it.

So I took the latest initial post and created a .md file and pdf for it...feel free to post it at the original tab. The formatting isn't amazing but its workable. Thanks for all the great info!!! (I can't upload the .md file I used to create this but I could probably DM or email it to you so let me know if anyone wants it)

Dont know what is an .md file. I think PDF will suffice. I'm trying to go with something that looks like the thread it self as not to go far. Thats why I have not attached one yet. I want to make the thread looking good, then attach the pdf file. Thank you for taking the time of creating a pdf file. I will attach yours for the time being until I create a new one. Appreciate it.

md file is just a markdown syntax text file which is easy to take other text documents and make a "formatted" pdf so people don't need to mess with Word or whatever other document programs people use.

I think all b58 in the Supra regardless of 2 or 6 port are gen 2 b58s. Charge pipe on 2020 doesn't need to be changed. Correct me if I'm wrong @zrk

I think @stormgreysupra mentioned that in another thread. I forgot to change it here. Thank you for bringing it up.

Update:

Added a bunch of FAQ's

Updated the pdf

As for now I think the thread looks good. I'm hoping to get more FAQ's from anyone watching the thread. Or suggesting a section I should add to the thread. Thank you in advance.

A lot of good information in here but the title of this thread is awful. "The current Supra situation" is really vague and could mean anything. Should be something like "The current Supra tuning/ECU options" or something along those lines. Would probably be easier to search or reference if you really want the community to treat this as a sticky.

Someone suggested GR supra for dummies. Now that you brought it up, I'm thinking of something along the lines of "The Supra ECU situation and Routes to power". You think this would suffice?

Maybe I misread or everything is getting confusing to me. I'm new to this GR Supra platform. Am I able to make 500-550HP without ethanol and just doing a bigger turbo? I kind of want to avoid ethanol.
